Festival Playlist events and rewards May 12-19 (Winter S7)

I made sure to do the Open objective straight away as I thought most people are likely to do other stuff on the playlist before getting to it so the lobbies would be at their most empty, used the '05 GT in S1 Street and luckily got in a lobby with just me + another player who was no opposition.

For whatever reason I had the CLK FE sat there with a 995 tune from Nalak, must have been from very early game but I got the speed zone done first time with it, approaching from the east side cut a portion of the long left turn then try and pinch as much of the right-hander as you can as that last corner really starts bringing the speed down.

Thanks Gilles, with that tune the speed zone is too easy (I obtained 300 km/h).
Nalak is still my preferred tuner

I suppose they could repurpose the phrase as a strapline for the Horizon 6 cover art…

Yeah, just a waste of time now. So boringly low quality there’s no chance of losing. Particularly disappointing as this category has such great cars in it.

Groundhog Day. But at least grinding through all the events gets you new….oh wait, we already have all of those cars. I guess there’s the super wheel spins for more cre…oh wait, already maxed out the credits. Soooo what’s new that we are gaining from all this? Mexican race suit! Ah that’s it

C 600 jump is another time waster, and the event lab requires a reboot.
Waste of time. Trial won by great drivers, and others that squeezed me out. I truly don’t care where I finish after that. No third race.
Was indifferent and numb to chores.
Last 2 weeks with nonsense and unfixed glitches worse, loathing it again.
C600 trucks saeenu tune ‘11 Raptor 3 for 3.

I totally agree leetorts you hit the nail on the head I’m not gonna bother putting myself through this hell

Simple tasks today. Got the trial down on the first try, knocked out the 2 championships. The problem came with speed zone, took me about 10 tries before I completed it. Didnt tune it just made the gears longer, was at 200 when I entered.

What is the treasure hunt solution?

Sorry am extremely lazy :grimacing:

What the bloody hell was up with the Event Lab “Coaster”? I mean, does whoever decides what races we get every week even drive these, or did they just pick it out of a hat? Started off looking like a fun little drive, then the first checkpoint goes by and…YOUR BLOODY CAR BREAKS! Of course, the little “Uh Oh” thing pops up, letting me know that this was deliberate. Next checkpoint, everything seems ok again, but I’m already anticipating what might happen at the next checkpoint down the road. Sure enough, pass checkpoint 3 and I see “not again”, accompanied by my car acting like it just blew a head gasket. It slowed to 1st gear and refused to accelerate. Hoping to see another nearby checkpoint that will “fix” my car so I can drive at a normal speed, instead I see the end of race checkpoint nearly 1k away. I’m like “are you serious right now?”. I have to limp along in 1st gear with a forced “broken” car for an entire bloody kilometer.

I don’t blame the route creator (ok, maybe a little), but whoever approved this rubbish to be included as a weekly event needs to have their computer access taken away.

From Gilles a little earlier.

Yesterday I saw that my little helper AI Mr.Bug already did the Horizon Tour for me… how kind he is…

Has anyone got any solid advice on how to do the Speed Zone and Danger Sign? I’ve tried a couple of the ones posted and none of them work, clearly it’s just scrubs trying to scam credits, would like to hear from anyone who has actually managed to do it this week.

Yeah the “Coaster” Eventlab event was just awful. 7 1/2 minutes of my life wasted crawling along.

Did the speed zone in a S998 RWD CLK GTR FE. The normal CLK GTR with the racing V12 should do it even easier.
Danger sign I used a Vauxhall Corsa and floored it from across the highway up the dirt path that leads up to the sign.
You want to hit roughly 130 km/h.

I used the standard CLK AMG GTR I got from the World Cup on the speedzone. Instead of using the brakes themselves I used its engine and downshifted. It has the aero to still turn even on the tighter corner at the end and the effect sucks the car to the ground and keeps it stable.

For the jump I drove straight from the Festival in a Corsa.

Hope this helps.

I think the 512 is an exclusive. But yeah, as for the rest of it, pretty uninspiring stuff.

I came to a halt roughly a single meter before the finish line. Just as I thought “oh no, gotta do it again” I got a sort of mercy boost of 5 kph.

I mean, it looks like a proof-of-concept that you can fiddle with a player’s speed but I don’t see the point otherwise. No skill needed to get to the next checkpoint in time, you’re just limping along for the remainder of the track.

Not fun whatsoever. This is a RACING game, not a snail simulator. Not blaming the person who made it, they don’t get a say in picking.

CLK GTR with JumpyArdvarkITA tune does about 190mph (305kmh) for the speed zone.

I used a Mini for the danger sign - ESV Mars tune.

Wondering what the reviews will end up being for the 512; haven’t tuned it out yet to see what lives within lol.
