Got cut off in practise, swerved off track to avoid major collision. Took a long time to get back to course. Got a .8 second penalty. Why?

Was in the Le Mans series just now racing Kyalami. Some idiot likes to overtake people by bashing into them on the corners.
He does this to me on the 2nd to last corner and forces me into someone who Is coming back onto the track.
I get slapped with the 4 second avoidable contact as it causes the rejoining car back into a spin. Iâm also in a spin due to said idiot. Ohhh and he doesnât get a pen.
Seems like the only way to avoid BS penalties is to not play this game.

I have an 11 second video that shows a player intentionally crashing two other racers and then cutting the course with no penalties. How do I share that?
Class B Featured Multiplayer Laguna Seca heading to the iconic corner, guy in a 370Z pit maneuvers a Corvette, then a Subaru, and then flies through the iconic corner in a straight line.

Lost control practising on the new course, hit the brakes and stayed off the track to avoid causing an accident. Came to a complete stop off track. Paused and skipped to Qualifying. Got a 5.3 second penalty.
Seriously guys what is the point of playing? Between toxic players and hostile programming I spend more time mad at this game than anything else.

Just had a multiplayer race where one racer consistently side swiped players, rear ended and generally tried to and did push players off track. Total penalty time: zero.
I tried to download the replay but it failed.
Thereâs no consistency in penalties.

This idiot slams into the back of me on this long straight, ZERO penalty.
Had no chance of catching the other guy, he literally ran away with the win. It would have been a very fun race if this dummy hadnt ruined it.

Ai were being extremely agressive for just level 4⌠Iâd anticipate a very angry level 8+ driver to act like this (IE Yarboroug/ Allison, Steward/ Kenseth type stuff), but not half the field at level 4.
I used rewind to get past the shenanigans, and finally got pit maneuvered with the AI car receiving no penalty.
By this point I was very upset, and opted to treat it like Horizon, and test the limits of the FRR. I ripped an E-brake 180* (kudos to good driving physics BTW) and went full kamikaze into a big pack of cars.
Knowing that this is black flag behavior, I fully expected some sort of penalty⌠NOTHING! Collision: No Penalty. ⌠HOW?? âŚa clearly VERY intentional move, with no recourse.
I regret not saving the replay, cause it was hilarious!
Very enjoyable game! Will be awesome once this is fixed.

I have video of a player trying to get hit and trying to run other racers off the course. He was cutting people off and braking hard, making no attempt to actually race the course, and focusing instead on harassing the people behind him. The most toxic player yet.

Here is one. So this guy, Y0un9jah6178 was a menace all race. He punted me off at T3 at Road America early in the race, as you can see from his time penalty of +2.25. I was in 2nd and he didnât brake and ran me over all the way from his 6th place position. I clawed my way back and got around him on the last lap. Only for him to send it while running WFO and spears me or rams my passenger side as Iâm mid corner T3 again at Road America. This guy hit me at full speed and sent my car flying. Yet instead of being DQâed he was only given a time penalty of 3:25??? Thatâs crazy, how was that not a DQ?

If I had a nickel for every time I received a penalty over the past few weeks (when it was someone other who committed an act of dirty driving), I would have enough money to purchase T10 studios and re-write the code myself. What a terrible system, and shocking you would ask the community to provide examples on your page when the interweb is literally spilling over with evidence. That said, I can live with the odd incorrect call - but at least make safety rating the predominant matchmaking stat. I am skill level 4888 and still get races (every race), with those who canât drive respectfully and think the fate of the race is determined on T1. Mind bogglingâŚand what purpose does qualifying serve if the safety rating doesnât relegate players for excessive acts of poor driving and stupidity? I often go out of my way to avoid peopleâŚeven when I am a half car length ahead into a turn and they will not concede. I back off, they hit me - I get a penalty ; AVOIDABLE CONTACT.
I know you are working on a fix - but in the interim at least redefine the matchmaking logic (?) so the safety rating carries more weight in the process. Skill alone is not synonymous with driving etiquette (sadly)âŚso stop putting us who are competent drivers with those who are also competent but likewise use other cars like pin cushions.

Another example of the âAmazingâ Forza Motorsport Penalty System!
Before this took another penalry of 2.5 secs for beeing rammed from someone coming back to the track and not avoiding it! Also, fairly, less the a second from off track.
And thanks to that, Safety Rating droped from S to C!
This âAvoid Contactâ thing is completely wrong and wrost then you know whatâŚ! How could they make this so bad!
Honestly, at this point as it is, might as well take it off from the game and make it as Horizon where rammers get ghostedâŚ
And @T10ManteoMax if you have a system to detect rude speech, make sure you guys get one to detect what we are posting here and fix it because it really doesnât seem to be the case for almost 2 months now! Itâs a âŹ100 product that you gave us broken and then badly fixed!

2 incidents in the same race.
In the first I hold my line and the guy outside hits me twice yet I get a 0.50 penalty for âavoidable contactâ.
In the 2nd the other guy clearly doesnât want me to pass him so he tries 3 times to smash me off the track yet gets no penalties. I had no choice but to pit him.
Iâm using a G920 with 0 assists and manual no clutch.
EDIT: It was actually 3 incidents. The other was where a car swerved into me mid corner and I got another 0.50 penalty. This was a racing incident rather than anyone at fault and I donât believe it warranted anything.

Pole position by 2 seconds qualifying. Mediums, race fuel level.
Corner 1, P2 rams me about 50km/h above entry speed, I spin.
De-ghost after 270 degrees to be hit by third.
4.5 second penalty.
Dude who rammed me got nothing.
I expect punishment when I screw up, but thereâs a B-pillar rule in racing.
If youâre not there when you turn in, you are black flagged.
S class to C class from a single ram into me ⌠kek.
Lime Rock south chicane track on featured multiplayer B class races. First I got over 1 second penalty (maybe 1.5 s, didnât have time to really look) from very slightly cutting the first chicane corner. I maybe gained 0 to 0.2 seconds so anything over 1 second seems pretty big penalty for that.
Later at same race: Car in front of me lost control just before the bridge, went to grass and bounced from the bridge wall back to track resulting instant crash. I got over 3 seconds penalty for âavoidableâ collision and my safety rating went from S to A after the race. This doesnât make sense to me.
For relevence : 3 races today messages of ânice racingâ were exchanged.
I occassionally bake corners when the track doesnât render. I obey the B-pillar rule all other times.
Starting to notice a pattern with this penalty system, if they ram you and they go offtrack first then no penalty for them but for you instead, and believe the oneâs that sort do glancing blows than the direct hit/ram are abusing this system. Another where on le manâs was off track by myself as didnt brake hard enough and was near standstill in the grass and a divebomber smashes into me so hard i went into barrier and bounced off it into the air and landed on the track again while he somersaults in opposite direction but because i was in the air while calculating the collision and landed on track and other didnât properly why i got the penalty -_-
