Featured Multiplayer: Multi-Class Series

Featured Multiplayer: Multi-Class Series (Semi-Open Events)

With Update 21, Featured Multiplayer has been reorganized, incorporating player feedback, with the goal of providing players with even more event variety. The ‘Semi-Open Events’ category focuses on events that challenge drivers to build and race their very own project car within a loose set of cycled car restrictions and themes.

Use this topic to discuss, share favorite cars and combos, and ask for and exchange tips to reach the podium!

Multi-Class Series

  • Update 21.2 Developer’s Note: With Update 21, we experimented with a unique rotation of multi-class racing and special events. Since then, we’ve been reading your feedback and closely monitoring player concurrency in these events. Based on a combination of both factors, we’ve made the ABCS Multi-Class Series an evergreen series in Featured Multiplayer Open Events.

With ABC’s I think is maybe bugged with S class only waiting about 4 seconds when the rest of the classes wait the proper 10 seconds.

Is this pit stops?

yea, for s class, lower classes are going to be a slightly smaller time loss.

I’m not sure if this description of the Multi-Class is still correct?
I mean it launched like this after the MP overhaul but then was quickly reverted to its former layout.
No event cycling, med length CBAS all the time.

Or was it changed again? Didn’t play for a while.

It’s now just the standard CBAS as far as I understand it.

pretty much they added Fujimi reverse and some tracks are different times of day. Bathurst is day now and VIR full is in. (not grand west)

Thanks for the heads up, I was on mental autopilot trying to get all the topics created. While we originally had a rotation for Multi-Class, on June 30th we made this change:

Featured Multiplayer [All Platforms]

  • The Multi-Class Series is now permanently available in the Semi-Open Events.
  • We’ve replaced rotating playlists within the Multi-Class Series with a static ABCS playlist.
  • Other multi-class events have been removed from the Semi-Open Events rotation, such as the 20th Anniversary Series, Porsche Multi-Class Series, BMW Challenge, and so on.
    • Developer’s Note: With Update 21, we experimented with a unique rotation of multi-class racing and special events. Since then, we’ve been reading your feedback and closely monitoring player concurrency in these events. Based on a combination of both factors, we’ve made the ABCS Multi-Class Series an evergreen series in Featured Multiplayer Open Events.

Would anyone here be willing to vote on a thread that brings back the other forms of multiclass

Fix that s class start only 4 seconds after a class, I have had quite a few races where S class is slowing me down and normally I should not even see them. 20 mints of getting held up because S is on me only to regret to let them pass only to find they are slow/worn tyers/ cant drive.

edit it ( the 4 secdonds instead of 10) does not happen every time which is worse.

Yep. Getting slowed down by higher classes can be quite annoying. They slow you down through the turns and pull away on the straights. Around the Nordschleife it can easily cost 10+ seconds.

What I find worse though are the higher class players that start to toy with you because they are hopelessly last in their class.
Trying to be the deciding character in your race.
Yesterday an A-class driver tried to constantly intervene in our B-class 3-way battle eventually taking one out who then left.

That’s when you put them and spam “good luck”

changing it to a B-A-S-R (production only) lobby would be nice. Also, I’d like to see the full version of Yas added instead of the north circuit.

I have to imagine that it’s painful to drive a C class around Spa and Silverstone

Since the game is basically dead I’m spending most of my time finding glitched cars and tune-break them for myself.
A lot actually end up in C but are so slow they would be hopeless in Open Class.
Here in Multi-Class I can use them and (at least most of the time) fight for the win.

Playing games within the game…FM needs more players like this. Me? I’ve been working on builds that don’t use Forza Aero and Race tires and running them in Multiclass…I have a LaFerrari that’s pretty competitive (just as long as someone isn’t running a Chapparal or '67(?) McLaren )

What if I use a #1 Team Lotus Type 40 with a Chaparral 2A paintjob?

also

If you see me in a A Class or B Class Radical (C Class on drag tires) with a 7.0 Handling dont worry much about it. It is struggling to make it to 100mph and it doesn’t have enough speed to make its handling beneficial.

I have one of those in B as well and while it’s ultra slow on basically every track it’s fun.

The downhill section of Fujimi is probably the only place it shines. Outrunning S class cars with a B always provides a good time. But it’s losing so much time through the uphill part the overall lap time isn’t any good.

One thing I noticed is that the rotation of the tracks is pretty much close to 8 hours. So if you like a track that you did at a certain time, it will come tomorrow same time. (8h*3=24h)

@SDotJeezy

Great race at Suzuka. Very rare nowadays to have a competitive race against someone that uses normal cars.
Just lost too much time on acceleration with the Jesko.
