Fastest car help?

I’ve been looking for faster cars to use in races and online but keep coming up short. I’ve watched numerous videos online but most of them are in “kph” and I need “mph”. I currently have the Veneno, Vulcan (F-E), Senna and aventador (F-E) which are my highest top speed cars so far,but still get beat in the long run occasionally and am looking for a new car so I bought the koenigsegg regera but didn’t like how it only had one gear and the top speed wasn’t that great so I auctioned it off. If anyone has any suggestions on good cars that can be tuned faster please let me know!!

The AI matches your max speed, not just your PI. Faster car just means the corners come up quicker and bumps cause more issues and the AI is just as competitive so usually easier to beat the AI with a well tuned but slower car.

E.g around Goliath, on unbeatable the AI are around 10s behind an 8 min FE Zonda and 10s behind a 7.30 720s PO. Both are X999

Same in the warthog seasonal, a slightly faster build just make the AI run that little bit faster

720s PO and 911 PO are both very rapid but rare.

Mosler is just as fast, if not a little faster and currently cheap in the AH.

Lots of other videos on YouTube, but I think your issue is looking for a faster car when you likely need a better tune and to make sure you’re fast out of the corners to make it harder for them to run you down on the straights

If you are looking only top speed jaguar d-type is only option, but same time it’s totally useless because you cant reach that top speed anywhere and it’s handling is terrible. So if you are looking fastest car around tracks (another than some highway blueprints) looking only top speed is really bad indicator how good car is, FE avantador is great example abaout that, it’s top speed is one of the best in the game when it can reach over 440km/h (you can find in google sites that convert kmh to mph) but it’s not even close to be fastest around circuits because it’s have drag tires.

Mosler is almost as fast as jag d type. With the right tune the mosler can reach 296mph. The jag d dtype can theoretically go a little faster than 300mph but there isn’t a straight in the game that lets it get over 297mph or so.

Damn i didint even know that you can get almost 300mph with mosler, is the gear tuning key to get mosler going that fast because my tune is way off going that fast.

If you are racing against unbeatable drivatars it doesn’t matter what your top speed is, the AI will match it. I watched a Ford Focus on the juggernaut drag keep pace with my 275mph Mosler.

If you want to know the all-rounder fastest cars for X class you can look at the speed zone leaderboards (don’t look at the speed traps as they’re full of cheaters). In my experience the Maserati MC12 FE and the Mosler MT900s are the fastest X class cars on road tracks. but if you want fastest S2 or S1 tunes I’m sure other cars may be better. For the lower classes it really depends on the track/condition and your driving style.

Well, between fast and good fast, I choose good fast. Something with speed, but also variability in tuning.

The fastest I got which can still be solid stable is the Konigsegg Agera RS. I go in km/h and touched close to 450 which is 280 mph. But it is squirrely.

Functional fast, Pagani Zonda does over 400 (250).

But if you want huge speed and fast fun without breaking bank? Nissan R390. It has serious speed and glues to the road.

There aren’t many places on tracks where you can exceed 220 or so in S2 or lower. Even in free roam rush, 230 on the freeway, a couple other places. So other than speed traps, a higher top speed than 230 is wasted other than perhaps a couple of the easiest road courses. Goliath doesn’t come up often online.

How fast you get to 230 and how many Gs you can pull when you get there are what to try to impact. The barn find TVR Speed and Lotus elan are as good as anything in S2, depending on the track (the TVR for fast tracks, the lotus for tight ones generally). Better than the 720s Po around most tracks, in my testing. Of course results vary with driving style - I presume others can push a few more 10ths out of the mclaren than I can, since I’ve definitely been beaten by them without making mistakes.

There’s a really big difference between a car that’s good in a given PI class and one that isn’t. I definitely recommend testing on a consistent track or two.

Beat unbeatable, just need a good tune and pass them at the beginning of the race, if your tune is garbage, few will go and then many tracks, it can be kind of tough to get back to them.
season is hardly affecting drivatars so that in winter, it is level up compared to summer.
Like already shared by others, top speed is quite useless vs drivatars, only make those quicker. their weakness is these brake so soon, hardly take the very inside of a corner or run over a checkpoint flag,

Imo the fastest car in the game is an X-class Mosler.
Managed a 6:57 on Goliath with it.

What engine swap did you use on that run?

The V8 Race (should be the most right option I guess). The V12 Race of the F50 GT is a little bit lighter but doesn’t produce enough power (the difference was around 9 seconds on Goliath).

Was my race setup right then, as i try long time ago with V8 and race V12 and didint try with lambo V12 and i got pretty mutch same result when V12 was abaout 8 second slower.

My best S2 dirt car aside from the TVR Speed 12 has been the Hennessy Venom. It accelerates and tops out with rally tires and aero like nothing else. It’s fast enough I’ve won road races in it.

The Centenario is a good choice for speed road S2… Pagani Zonda Cinque Roadster for handling road S2.

The Veneno, I have set up on rally tires though it doesn’t keep up with Speed 12s on some tighter tracks. Fast handling tracks are it’s forte.

Vulcan FE and Senna, very handling biased, also both ugly IMO, I won’t drive them.
Aventador FE, fun play/Forzathon car, bad for racing, I’d rather take a proper rally/race-tired car.

Potential speed-biased S2 road cars… Agera no aero. F12 TDF. 599XX rally tires. Aventador LP700-4 on rally tires–with aero, that car can max out to 1515hp in S2 class. Unfortunately the front aero is nerfed and only goes as high as 172, while the rear can’t drop below 271. Predicted lateral Gs 1.19/1.35. This one would be lethal with proper downforce.

The LP750 Aventador, a wheelspin exclusive, I have built also on rally tires to 1395hp/2979 pounds with aero. 1.21/1.46 lateral G estimate (about equal to the Venom). Not as ugly as the Vulcan… still, of the 50 or so cars I am eager to deep tune and take online, it’s near the bottom of the list lately.

I’ve seen a couple videos of topspeed tunes, rear ride height minimum, front max. Reduced downforce/drag from negative rake? Try that.

Ride height trick give bit more top speed but still not close so i make some youtube digging and find out that top speed tune use rally supsension to reach over 290mph.

I like the BAC Mono for S2 road / street, it isn’t the fastest in a straight line but for me and the cars I’ve tested, it sets faster times due to being so easy to drive and imo handles better than the oft-mentioned Mosler or Vulcan FE.
