[Fantasy, Race, Replica] OKC Radar Bob - Updated 03/11/17 - last one boys (pg 2)

RadarBob came from Real Racing 3 where he’s been hanging out the last 1 1/2 years… and is sooooooo happy that he finally made the move to Forza. I’ve always liked doing different race liveries… almost as much fun as racing, plus I get to scratch that creative digital artistic itch at the same time! Keeping this short, I started in with my first paint right away (3 weeks ago), my “replica” of the Doran Racing Nissan 370Z (with added sponsorship no doubt). Actually, this was/is my first paint, so I tried not to go too overboard with adding stuff to the original design but was needing to experiment & learn, so it is just what it is (and for me, that was simply a boatload of fun!!!).

BTW: I’ll add stuff on a regular basis… I usually do a new paint a week - kinda slow right now until I can build up enough logos so that NOT every decal is yet another art project in itself. Regardless, hope to have some fun here… and thanks for visiting my garage!

Very nicer work

Thanks jfiler - appreciate ya sir

So for today, I’m gonna come clean and show the 4 completed new paints (have been holding back a bit - needed to insure I was satisfied with them before I share em in game & post the pics here).

First up is my original race design for the Lotus Exige S… even though this isn’t a “real racer” I try to make all my paints look the part, so hopefully I got this one to do just that. I did get my inspiration from looking at pics of the Exige & other similar Lotus types, but never did find one that I liked enough to duplicate - so I used my preferred black & red racer scheme and used this one to keep learning the software & get the bank of sponsor images growing. The main sponsors were taken from a current racer (Lotus Elise) to keep things real. I did share this in game a few days ago so this and the Nissan above should be available (I will always share my paints in game - unless I’m still working on finalizing the design). Anyway, enough of my banter. Here’s the pics…

This next one is a two-fer… bought the C7 Z06 - then found the pics of the Team AAI Vette (both the 4-view artist’s rendition & then the pics at Le Mans this year). Couldn’t decided on one or the other… so I did both  (just getting ready to share these two so they might not be available for a bit).

Lastly… won the McLaren P1 on a spin three days ago… again, couldn’t find a darn paint scheme out there I liked on this type so I decided to do a tribute paint of the 1997 Fina F1 GTR… fun project for sure (the Michelin man was kickin’ my butt - took 4 hours to do that one the 1st time). Now this one is still in the final stages of paint so you are getting a pre-look as it’s not going to be available until next week.

Well, that’s it for this week… and thanks for visiting!

Awesome Job! They all look realistic from the Nismo to the Vette they have a lot of detail.

Much thanks DEADorGONE - glad you like 'em

So for this update, I have the P1 above is ready for sharing after a few tweaks. The tribute Fina livery just needed a story, so you may notice the Le Mans stickers with a 2017 date, the Drivers for 2017 listed on the car, the PRO stickers, ect. Since this year marks the 10 year anniversary of that livery… seems appropriate even though the P1 wont race at Le Mans due to existing rules… but it’s a nice dream, so I went with it

Also, yesterday I completed the paint on the DBR9… decided on the Jet Alliance livery from the 2008 FIAGT GT1 Championship. Didn’t realize until I was well into this project that I was going to have to modify the livery to account for the lack of being able to paint on the lower door sills & around to lower section of the car - so I had to adjust things to make up for that (something I’m certainly going to watch for in the future - making sure the paintable surfaces will work with the chosen livery).

I’ll be sharing this in a few hours (with the P1) after one final check today… this was a fun one!
So until next update - thanks for visiting my garage & happy motoring

(no longer the) Risi Competizione #62 Ferrari 458 Italia GTLM…
Won this in a spin, so I decided to do it up with an original paint scheme and to keep things "real’, use the Kessel Racing/Liam Talbot Racing Livery of sponsors. It was a fun & challenging project with all the custom graphics, and I certainly learned a thing or three along the way. Hope you like it - won’t be available until after Christmas (just got done with it and need a little time to check stuff one last time & with the holiday tomorrow… it’ll be Monday before it gets shared). Anyway - here she is. I would have in race pics but I want to start racing as soon as I get done here, and don’t want to be interrupted for a few days

Merry Christmas everyone - and thanks for visiting my garage!

Looking good in here. Gonna have to grab the DBR9 for sure.

Made a really quality start to FM6!
Love the chosen designs keep it up!

Thanks for the great comments guys - made me smile real big

#3 Corvette Racing Corvette C7.R
I noticed that my Z06 with the artist’s rendition of the car pre-race has been my most popular download, so I decided to buy the C7.R and do her up in the same (also, i looked and didn’t see it available - prefer not to do stuff that someone has already done previously). Anyway, here she is.

I have 4 more new designs ready… will be making another few posts real soon. Till then - a big thanks for visiting my garage!

So to make a long story short, with new GT3 cars in the garage (my favorites) & wanting to add some paint to them… I got tired of trying to find a livery that hadn’t been done yet, so - after researching an appropriate sponsor (actually found it awhile back… been saving it for a rainy day), I came up with the following four cars - one each in the next four posts.

Now who doesn’t like ripping it on the track? We ain’t drivin miss daisy!!! So the sponsor was just a natural… making it very easy to create a realistic race livery. More to come

the ARK Performance Turbo Veloster (my all-new carbon fiber version)

All graphics are “see through” and used no masking… the weave of the carbon fiber matt can be seen through all open areas on all graphics - a self-imposed personal challenge for me this time as I needed to get out of my comfort zone (you’ll never grow artistically unless you challenge yourself). I can repaint this car complete in any color I wish in about 2 minutes. Made available for now in Gloss Black, Metallic Orange, Green Metal-flake, Red Metal-flake, Blue Metal-flake, Purple Metal-flake, Matte & Gloss Carbon Fiber… the red really pops!!!

And thanks for visiting! Happy motoring
