Disney already have collaborated with Rare and Sea of Thieves, with fantastic results. So its not that far fetched to think that Playground games will do the same.
Plus Game Pass Ultimes members have gotten free Dsney+ two times, if memory serves me correctly, and a number of Disney games have been given away with Games with Gold.
First of all, there are SO MANY characters from the franchise that Pixar made over the years. Sure, you could play as Lightning McQueen, Mater, Cruz Ramirez and many many more that you love! Heck, you could even customize their performance, paint liveries and rims, and even tune them! However, I wouldnât think Doc Hudson will appear since he died before the events of Cars 2, and the circumstances of what happened were unknown for a decade now. I know the year he died was 2009 (revealed in a concept art for Cars 3), but maybe at one point in the story, Lightning will explain to the player what truly happened to Doc after showing Docâs history to them in his museum.
Second, the location of the game - across two US states, which are Arizona and Southern California (the biggest map of them all!) Yes, Radiator Springs would 100% be in it, and so would the other places around the town. Los Angeles could also be featured, and yes, it would be the BIGGEST city Playground Games ever implemented! But I wouldnât see them putting ALL of the city in the game, just key areas and landmarks that make L.A. so special, like Hollywood, Downtown and Santa Monica.
Speaking of the story earlier on, my idea would have TWO storylines, both being similar to the first two Horizon games. They would feature cinematic cutscenes, filled with humor and heart, but also some drama (like someone causing a fight at a street racing hub). The first one will be the main storyline, where you would arrive at the festival as a new racer, whoâs a high-school teenager and has recently passed their driving test. You would be given a choice of FIVE starter cars, which are all COMMON and are all tuned to C-class perfection - Nissan Pulsar, 1999 Honda Civic, Abarth Punto, 1979 Chevy Camaro, or a Volkswagen Corrado (which weâve all started with in the first game!). Once youâve acquired your wristband at the heats, you will be tasked on what you need to do in order to progress through the story and become the champion - win races, complete challenges, earn stars from PR stunts, showing off your skills, etc. Once youâve completed a list, you will unlock a story point, which can either be a showcase event (which you will definitely keep the cars like in Horizon 1), or a boss race against a Cars character like Lightning McQueen. When all checklists are completed, thatâs when youâll unlock the finale, a 20-lap race around the Los Angeles International Speedway, against Jackson Storm and some of the best racers at the festival. Win that, and youâre the champion. But wait! Jackson is furious that you beaten him, and he will challenge you to a one-on-one on the Goliath. Win the final boss race, Jackson would be unlocked and the main storyline is complete!
The secondary storyline will be about you competing in a variety of championships around the festival. Win enough, and a champion would challenge you. Beat them, and you will get their car! If all champions are defeated, they would like rematch on the Goliath. If you win that, youâll become a LEGEND!
I would like to see something for the car community in these expansion packs not just gimmicks for the kids (Lego)
I would like to see a tuner expansion with unique body kits for existing cars in the game ( and maybe cars that have no body kits eg Acura integra type r) and throw in some classic forza cars such as Honda CRX DelSol
2003 Toyota celica
Mitsubishi FTO
1997 Honda Civic SI coupe
1993 civic vti
Renault Clio 197
Peugeot 206 gti (or rc)
The list of cars isnât important just an example but all cars in the pack should come with a long list of aero parts at least 5 of each thing (bumpers skirts spoilers etcâŚ) and extra options such as head and tail light options front end swaps ( s14 with option for 15 front, r32gtr with r34 front end option that kind of thing ) and once you swap front end you can apply the bumpers that cars front end has .
I know this is a stretch but it beats me piping on about exhaust tips all the time (pun intended)
Iâd like somewhere with a lot of snow for the serious one, since we only get snow one week at the top of the volcano. I probably wonât buy the toy one because I just donât think it would be worth it.
there is lots of empty fields around the map, do a paved parking lots in those places add some obstacles add jzx es to game and this will be greatest forza game ever created
There is only one thing I want. Please do one of these things.
1: All cars included in the expansion are available for purchase at auto shows.
2: Some of the cars in the expansion will need to be unlocked, but once unlocked they will be added to the auto show.
3: Some of the cars in expansion need to be unlocked and will not be added to the auto show, but we will have the opportunity to reacquire them in the playlist for expansion map.
In the case of FH4 expansions, many cars were exclusive content that could only be obtained once.
And in the Lego expansion, those cars could no longer be exhibited on the AH later, making it impossible to use the AH to collect multiple copies of the same model.
This was a very annoying spec change for the type of players like me who prefer to enjoy their favorite cars in various livery and tune.
I really hope they donât repeat the same thing with FH5 and at least add a chance to reacquire them outside of the AH.
I predict the first expansion will be awesome for 2 reason. Firstly this game is lacking new content/features so anything new will go down well (presumably). Secondly they can invest more resources due to the early success.
What Iâm uncertain of is whether it will be a success. They can build an awesome expansion but if they donât retain their dwindling player base then there will be few players left to buy it. The exception being those that have already prepaid. Itâs highly likely if you prepaid then you will come back and try the expansion regardless if you love or hate the game.
That is why I think itâs critical for them to push out key bug fixes and quality of life improvements in both the first and second quarters of 2022. This includes the ability for users to select or vote on what they will race in open racing. Seasonal reward costs reduced to mitigrate numerous complaints in this space. Bigger crack down on cheats. Ability to turn off cross play. Dirt races updated to be on dirt only. Etc etc. All of this has been raised by the community and discussed to death. But back to my point. If they donât listen to the community and action these changes within the next 3 to 6 months then they will continue to bleed players and burn bridges where many will avoid the expansion like the plague even if they hear itâs awesome.
Given that theyâre almost certainly planned in advance, the first one is probably already being worked on if not nearly complete. All while theyâre allegedly trying to fix existing problems, no less. One does not preclude the other.
To add to this, many players already own the first 2 expansions. If they postponed the release of an expansion by years or didnât make it at all it would be bordering on a legal dispute.
Expansion 1´s release date leaked?
Definitely hope itâs not true, because Forza Horizon 5 Clips found that Amazon site said that the release date would be next week, I think it would be in Late February, regarding the probable competition event for the whole month⌠but yeah, I think it might be for march at bestâŚ
At first glance this seemed way to soon, but I looked and they only took ~3 months to release FH4 Fortune Island after FH4 base game. Lego expansion was 10 months after that.
Personally, I think they should wait a little longer and focus on quality updates with this one.
