No they have not, so time to go trough all cars yourself and geuss wich one changed.
dont you just love it that they dont even give us a list of changed cars XD
The RB26 and 2JZ sounded identical in FH3. Also the Viper sounds (minus the FD Viper) need to be fixed, as well as the GT350 R, Zenvo ST1, BMW 1M, M2, and plenty others.
Yeah, just realized it about the RB26 Skylines. Not many sounds have been changed really. Can anyone check FXXK and LaFerrari? I don’t have money for those.
Btw. I have a list of cars in need of fixing (def. not full but as many as I could manage, days of collecting feedback from forums and youtube, comparing older and current sounds and the real recordings etc) and it’s on page 8, just in case someone didn’t know. Propably the most complete one.
Alright… first of all, thank you to PG for at least acknowledging the fact that there are some seriously bad sounds in the game.
But I cannot believe their Idea of an improvement is to copy and paste already existing sound files from cars that were complimented for good sound.
A LaFerrari does not sound the same as an F12 TDF and for gods sake the FXXK shouldn’t get an F12 sound. The one’s a street legal car and the other is a Track monster without a road approval.
Not all V12’s sound the same and don’t think that the community’s feedback was to just use the sounds that are good for all other cars with the same cylinder count.
Plus, the only sound thats actually properly changed is the BMW M4 GTS - Kudos to you that sounds glorious.
Very important one’s are still missing:
Dodge Viper’s
Aston Martin One77
Alfa Giulia
RS6 (Port the RS7 sound over)
BMW M2 ( Just to clarify, it should get the M2 sound from Horizon 3 NOT the M4 GTS sound )
BMW M4
458
Ferrar Enzo/ Maserati MC12
430 Scuderia ( doesn’t have a (wrong) 458 sound irl)
Maserati GTS
Pagani Huayra / Huayra BC (still sound like a turbocharged Aventador)
Cinque Roadster (I feel as if this has gotten worse but I can’t tell if anything has actually changed) Anyway its a much much much higher sound
Mclaren P1
And probably more… a lot more.
I hope the next update will fix what they have made worse with this one.
I haven’t driven the Laferrari and the FXX K yet, but making the first one sound like an F12 isn’t wrong. It’s the same basic engine. I know from videos that the Laf sounds slghtly different, but having that unbelievable howl that Ferraris current gen V12 (the 6.3/6.5) have is essential. Before the update that howl was missing.
It’s rather surprising for me that the 812 didn’t get the F12/F12tdf V12 sound. It sounds definitely still worse compared to those two.
From what I have played so far…
R34- Honestly, sounds even worse. Like seriously. Just sounds even more generic now imho. Much worse in interior view also. Just find a real one to record, end of. (Side note, does the speedo really only go upto 180Km/h? Maxes out after like 3rd gear) ahaha
R32(Not owned before the patch)- a lot better than the R34, however I really really really liked the sound in Horizon 3, I can live with this though.
Zonda R FE- Miles better. Sounds almost bang on to me. Idle sound is nice too!
Zonda Cinque(Driven at the car rental)- Sounds similar to the
Zonda R below 4000rpm, above 5000rpm though the engine gives off very little noise? It just sounds like intake sound really. Missing the high pitched howl which nearly every game seems to struggle on with the Zondas ahaha.
BMW M4 GTS (just bought it)- pretty damn good. Please fix the crackles though I can’t drive it like this. Literally loud crackles from the red line till about 2000rpm letting off the throttle ahaha, c’mon man?!
BMW M2- kinda a mix between the Horizon 3 sounds and the R32. Not as good as Horizon 3. Not actually too sure if they’ve changed this one or not, I’m thinking maybe not?
Few notes.
Alfa 8c still sounds like a Merc.
Alfa Giulia still sounds the same (Like the R34 Before the patch)
Viper SRT10 ACR still sounds the same. I know it’s ment to be a proper recording, but something went wrong down the line ahaha. It sounds so unbalanced going through the revs. Maybe needs to be mixed again. '99 Viper has the exact same sound. Also, both sound like they’re blowing a clutch on downshifts ahah (Not the crunching ‘clutch not in’ sound)
Range Rover SVR- Still really quiet (unchanged sound). These are like the loudest things on earth. Funny thing is, this and the F-type should have the same, or at least VERY similar sounds(same engine). In forza they’re completely different. Funny how cars with different engines sound the same and cars with the same engine sound different? C’mon man. Where’s the logic? Yous are taking the mickey now ahaha.
Jaguar C-X75 - still the same sound. Sounds like a bike engine or something aha.
These are just a some of the cars I’ve tried since the update (I tried to test the ones I own that I thought should have changed sounds). I hope there is another sound update in the future. A LOT still needs changed. If someone has the Vulcan, Enzo/MC12 I’d be interested in what they sound like, especially the Enzo/MC12. To add to that, Carrera GT, LaFerrari, P1, 918. Not sure if they’ve fixed the Koenigsegg Agera RS sound glitch.
I’m glad the BMW M4 & m4 GTS, finally sound right. but what about cars like the maserati GTs? or the Alfa 8c?, and cars like the BMW m2, have also been overlooked.
Skylines still don’t sound right (to me at least).
is there going to be another round of Sound fixing?
