Had a Ferrari ff and 4 people left for the final race. After launching thru bushes, my car wound up stick on rocks seesaw style, with no partner :frowning: . The game was kind enough to offer me a car reset 30 seconds later lol.

Just had that rare bug again where I’m 1/2 in a head-to-head, I got to the finish line apparently first, then it said I’d been eliminated by my opponent, who had long since disappeared from my mini-map. I showed as 1/2 right up to and including hitting the finish marker. It’s a bad bug.

Needed some luck

Pana-ramic finish

Had some close finishes over the weekend but the one in the Focus was my favorite!!

Lost a final race in the Regalia-D because I rolled, it was a millimetre away from rolling back onto its wheels but then it reset… sloooooowly … way way back.

It’s so stupid.

The Regalia, Unimog and Tracktor dont actually roll over at all. They just tip over on the side lol, I hate it.

This focus win might be my best yet. I love the handling of this car…the gearing is okay but it would be perfect if it had 100 more horses

Brilliant. Great course knowledge there, I usually follow the GPS in Edinburgh because it’s too easy to get lost or stuck if you try and take a more direct route.

I used the Unimog earlier even though I usually shun it due to its slow speed, thinking it might make up for it in the snow and it wasn’t bad, at least I would take it in preference to the Mini now. Probably wouldn’t take it over anything else though. And yeah the Focus is one of the better cars.

The Unimog is underrated. I almost won a final in one if not for the Taxi getting there a few seconds before me. I doubt it has the race weight enabled, so that is probably what’s holding it back the most. I think they swapped the Iron Knight engine in it which isn’t bad. The aerodynamics don’t help either.

Decided to “play the game” more and not get into so many H2Hs. 6, 6, 3, two wins by wide margin in the Audi RS6 and Bentley Bentayga (that one in the dark over rough terrain through trees that was less enjoyable and more of a minute of pure anxiety laced with adrenaline, lol) Got to drive the level 10 Taxi after beating it in a H2H in the Warthog when they hit a tree. I think that checks all the Eliminator achievements for me, so I’ve got that going for me, which is nice… Won’t be catching dareocharmer anytime soon, though ;-p

Please make the head-to-head finish line easier to see. When I’m in a snow-covered woods with dense snow-covered trees and I’m looking for where a thin white line, it’s problematic. When the thin white line disappears entirely when you get near it and you have to resort to peering at the mini-map to figure out where it is, it’s even more problematic.

This is basic game design here lads.

I think a different color flare would fix that problem. Not blue but maybe red or yellow because that H2H marker disappears over 50% of the time.

Also some people dont take advice well. I told a guy, hey dont challenge people when the final is about to start. I ended up winning in his car and he snaps at me…shut the hell up I almost beat you and i’ve won 100 games. I go oh yeah well i’m the wins leader. He says suuuurreee buddy, I say okay lemme send you this screenshot. I’ve won nearly 600 so what you’ve won 100 lol i’m just trying to help. I felt bad taking his car but oh well. He didnt reply after seeing I wasnt lying. Some folks have to learn things the hard way.

Ha ha. Yep I sometimes feel bad beating people when they lose because they made a bad decision to challenge me when I’m in a much better car or a better position and they go shooting off the wrong way or whatever. I imagine them feeling bad for losing and I feel a bit guilty, I must be going soft

I definitely think the H2H goal should have flares similar to the car drops. The car drops are completely unmissable at close range. But the H2H marker which is far more important after all, becomes literally invisible when you are a few feet away. The ‘flag’ symbol is right up in the air so when you’re close you can’t see it any more. I lost a H2H earlier because I just couldn’t find the marker, I knew I was right on top of it almost but … where is it? Oh, too late, I lost. Bah.

Just beat a level 7 Audi who had a head start on me across the frozen lake, I was in a level 3 Subaru. I thought oh no, he’s in a great car, I’ll never catch him. Then he checks his map! Only for a few seconds but I fly past. He catches up but I just beat him by a second.

Another couple I felt bad about today - I was in a fast car near to the final round and I found a Mini trying to hide. He wasn’t hiding very well though, not at the edge but just in the middle under some bushes. I spotted the glow from his lights. Another was just after I won the level 7 Audi above, I found a Unimog hiding at the edge. I felt like a bully taking candy from a baby, lol.

I just won a late H2H where the destination took me slightly outside the dotted circle and pointing the wrong way (the destination was inside the circle but my momentum took me outside). By the time the game had loaded my new car and I turned around to get back inside the circle, the arena closed, the timeout took literally 2 seconds and I was knocked out by being out of bounds. This was at the Horizon festival where the roads are narrow and I had just upgraded to a Warthog so turning around took a few seconds.

Happens alot, like a whole lot. It’s happened to me once and that was a couple days ago. Take the time to make sure you drive back in the circle before you choose your upgrade.

Have I mentioned how much I hate the handling of these cars, specifically the steering. I just had a decent lead on a warthog in the Bentley car. The finish is on a dirt path, I go offroad, wasn’t even airborne, go to turn right and the damn car doesn’t respond. Slammed right into a tree and he goes flying by to knock me out as the final was about to begin. Talk about having a reason to yell out some curse words.

Doesn’t help that your HUD disappears right at the time you most need to get your bearings from it. I have the same complaint when you’ve just won a H2H or used a car drop, for a few seconds you have no HUD so you are slightly disorientated / vulnerable to other cars you might not have noticed who might challenge you or whatever. I know it’s a thing because several times I’ve got the drop on people (no pun intended) at car drops by challenging them and racing off before they figure out what happened.

This one earlier I was in a level 6 car, I’d just beaten a level 8 Fiesta and I spent a second deciding to take the level 7 Warthog instead of the low speed Fiesta, so I took my eye off the ball daydreaming about the final round, which it turns out I would never make it to! lol. Must pay more attention next time. Or they could just warp people back inside the final circle in such circumstances but that would be too easy right?

And yeah it isn’t good when you’re going towards a tree and you steer and… …you hit the tree anyway. And then if you play M+C you put it into reverse, back into 1st, then wait 1… 2… 3… NOW the car responds. But for 3 seconds you just sit there while your opponent gains on you (or extends their lead).

I love it when this happens… (never do what this guy did)

Caught another couple of people napping before the final round, and then won:

Five wins yesterday, three in a row at one point. Barely eked out a photo finish in the L5 Audi over the L10 Taxi in one. In another I spawned right next to an L10 Taxi, Drive the one second to it and hit the button. Nothing. Then up pops another player that was never in the map or visual and they have the Taxi. Shortest round of my life lol

Is there any kind of Eliminator leader board like there is for pr stunts, etc?

Not sure when we’ll get the leaderboard or where it will be placed in the menu screen but it’s sorely needed. I am curious who’s near and who I need to lookout for during gameplay.

On a side note: I DESPISE that frozen lake with every fiber of my being. Whether it’s these cars or even cars I tune myself, there’s nothing I can do to keep from flipping the car when I’m driving across it competitively. Puddles I can see and avoid, it’s the snow bumps that all seem to be uneven that cause a roll.
