I really hope that Horizon 2 split screen multi player includes Drivatars or AI competitors so isn’t crippled like Forza 5. Some of us actually have friends that visit!

Before thinking of including AIs in split screen mode, FH2 needs to include split screen mode to start with. It was not a feature in FH.
Q: Is there going to be split screen? And will users be able to share garages with guests?
A: Forza Horizon 2 will not feature split-screen racing but will include seamless multiplayer racing for up to 12 players via Xbox Live, as well as Rivals Mode online racing events. You will be able to show off and share your favorite cars, liveries and custom tuning setups using our new Car Meet feature, so look forward to more information on that feature soon.

Just because no split screen? There’s still plenty of fun to be had.
I didn’t buy Cod ghosts because they removed 4 player splitscreen, but that is a multiplayer game. This is an either/or game. Single and multi, and unlike most games there’s ten’s even hundreds of hours of content. Most games now give you ten if you’re lucky.
Will not be buying either because no split screen, game will be amazing regardless but having that option is a huge game changer in racing games…

Great game, but I should’ve researched the split-screen thing first. The fact that my son and I can’t sit on the couch and play this together means it won’t get played much. Hopefully FH3 will be different.

I agree in past forzas there has been split screen but not in forza horizon.
Split screen is a must in racing games, i was hoping that forza 2 would have it after finding out its the same case as the first horizon

Just a question, but is it really that hard to add a split-screen? This annoyed me because I was looking forward to play the game in split-screen mode just to be let down when I suddenly remembered reading it won’t have one. Most people would just want to play online or solo, I get that, but come on. There’s games out there that have split-screen included, that I would never think would. This game is one I would think it’d be mandatory in, but I guess not. Seeing as what some people said above they lost some amount of sales because of it too. All in all, I obviously think it’s a terrible idea not having a split-screen mode in this game.

True. It’d be great to have, and they’d probably sell a lot more copies.
Heck, I’d take offline-only splitscreen at 720p with no traffic and/or weather, if that’s what they have to do.
It’s really hard to find games with good splitscreen now. Forza 5’s splitscreen felt like they just tacked it on at the last minute, just so they could put it on the case.

Totally disappointed, had friend around over Christmas and we couldn’t play the game together on a split-screen. Didn’t do my research properly before buying the game otherwise I would’ve had second thoughts on this.
Not everyone have a great internet speed and when you have people around it’s great to be able to compete against each other. It is definitely affecting their sales, they should really try to do something about it.
