Drivatar unbeatable power and fuel

Yeah Forza 7 is a complete mess. I’ve been playing Since Forza 1 and PGR and haven’t seen a buggy mess this bad

The best way to save fuel is coasting to corners instead of braking hard to the apex. You should expect this to raise your lap times by about 1 second per minute, which usually is enough to make it worthwhile (delta in Forza is ridiculous, I get why we don’t get a fully animated pit crew, but can we at least get a quick one?). Also remember to shift early, the higher the RPMs the higher the fuel consumption.

If it comes to the point where you have to complete a lap un half a lap worth of fuel you can always coast on the straights, and stick to half throttle unless necessary. But hopefully you won’t have to.

Finally, keep in mind that some cars are more thirsty/have a smaller tank than their peers, and they may force you to pit more often.

Lift and coast,lift and coast.

Draft, use the fast in, slow out start to cruise through corners. A 100% draft is 15% fuel saving. Cruising is 10%. The max that you can save is 15-25%.

The realistic number that you can save depends on the track. On Daytona you can’t cruise but you can draft. On Dubai you can cruise but drafting is hard.

On some tracks it’s pointless to do either so just practice throttle control.

Lighter cars use less fuel. If on a track that requires heavy steering fuel saving does not matter because the tires will always give way first. On an oval or cruise based track saving on fuel consumption means less pitting. Plan accordingly.

On Dubai I beat all the AI and pitted last. It’s not bugged. You don’t race endurance like you would a 5 lap race. You race slower and save on tire wear and fuel. If your tires are screaming at you then you’re causing extra wear on your tires. For some tracks this does not matter. For others it seriously does.

It also helps to not rev as high when trying to conserve fuel. Here’s a good fuel test I’ve found for a specific situation:

  • Nürburgring Full
  • 4 Laps
  • Spania GTA Spano (Homologated)
  • Fuel & Tire Wear On

In this run, it is entirely possible to go 4 laps without pitting, but you cannot be going flat-out the whole time. Give it a try and see how well you do.

Early shifting and slowly pressing the throttle in low gears. If you have an elite controller you can try activating the trigger locks. I think you can adjust the throttle pressure as well on either game advance settings or elite controller mapping

We have a TORA race this week at homestead. The biggest attribute is acceleration. By the time you meet the homogeneous rules, you generally have enough grip.

That’s my point really. You don’t need more grip than the basics for the series, so you can spend the rest of the PI on reducing mass and/or increasing bhp/torque. I find if you have enough traction and acceleration you can really do well at homestead. My main issue with the track is just getting my braking right as its so easy to get it all wrong and lose lots of time in the process.

Or you could turn fuel consumption off…no penalty like in previous games…seriously Turn 10…what the hell???

You ruined the assist bonuses!

Placed 2nd but they took aggression to a new level and the supersonic speed still exists on the straights although marginally better. If the track is 8.81miles then I was doing 10 miles a lap due to weaving back and forth with two cars on the attack the whole time. I have learned if you let one through then even if the next car back is 1300 - 3000 ft it will be on your tail by the next turn or two. Either way, there is no skill to beat the opponents the faster you go or better you do they just boost and bounce right back. Good payouts though I guess with a new track to use making CR.

I remember that race, before exiting the gp section first lap I was in 2nd, or so I though when I looked way up the last straight to see another car up ahead. I never checked my actual position. Just bummed thinking there’s no way I’ll catch him if he’s that far ahead so early! I continued on and passed the car ahead of me thinking I was in 2nd. Was by myself for over a lap and out of no where I’ve got 3-4 right on my bumper!. That’s when I looked and saw I was first. I swore I’d imagined that first car so I paused to check what’s up and noticed two classes.

I still don’t know how that one car passed everyone in the first section on the first lap of the grand Prix track. I held the last upper class of until the last lap.

Go ahead and bump up your drivatar difficulty to expert. You’ll be glad you did.

I remember that race i did catch on that it was a multi class and i was the slow traffic but did that stop me blocking the ai’s to oblivion? not a chance! and there was 1 ferrari that was really slow and i literally kept passing it especially on the GP portion of the ring

I just ran a 10 lap race on LeMans Classic and posted what would be the #4 time on the leaderboard if I weren’t .1 seconds behind a previous run… and I got 4th place. So the three Drivatars who beat me are actually the three people on the leader board with faster times.

Well, I’ve just watched a replay with the telemetry on the run away drivatar, and I can confirm it’s allowed to cheat with BHP above the homologation restrictions, and this was only on pro, not unbeatable.

It is entirely unacceptable to have this new homologation system when the AI is not bound to it while the player is.

Probably another tactic to reduce cr. earning so we’re more likely to buy tokens for prize crates. For all the shadiness we’ve encountered this far, I can’t trust it’s just a mistake.

I did this race on unbeatable. Placed third. But I was literally battling 3-4 of the higher class cars the whole time. They’d hang back, then zoom around me like once per lap, then immediately slam on brakes, and I’d zoom back around them. It was pretty obnoxious since I wasn’t really racing them. The first and second place cars in my class finished like 15000 feet ahead. It was nuts.

The fact that turn10 has to make the drivatars “cheat” to be unbeatable but still drive like garbage is really something else. Using Forza GT cars, they get about a 600 HORSEPOWER BOOST COMPARED TO HOMOLOGATION. Guess Turn10 couldn’t be bothered to make these drivatars skillful like they claim “it drives like the person”. Pretty sure the club guys i’m friends with don’t dont kamakazie and brake check on straights.

They only pitted once because their fuel was reset to 100 percent at some point during the race without them pitting. I Came across this last night while running 3 laps of Nurburgring Full in the Hypercar Championship. At the start of lap 2 the drivatar that won the race was in 2nd place with 60 something percent of fuel consumed and once it passed the start/finish on track without pitting his fuel went back to 100%(Verified via replay telemetry). This is what allowed it and a few other 'tars to stay on track during the pit cycle after lap 2. Going forward, i won’t be using sim tire/fuel consumption…total horse manure.

I finally got around to doing this and the rewards are crap. It took 2h 36m and the payout was 210K. I could run some regular events at the 15-20 min setting and get 340K in the same time, and then easily double that with mods up to about 700K. I assume the other career endurance events in the other groups are just as bad?

What? 2 hours of racing is worth 800,000 to 1,100,000
