Doritos Car Pack - December 5

Does anyone know why the collector scores are all set to 50 for each car?
For the previous car pack, each car was individually scored.

Bugatti and Porsche were unnecessary for me than SUV.

Why?
804 can’t run with other 1960’s F1.
Bugatti? It might have been a cool car in the 1920s, but the times have advanced.
Poor suspension and thin tires. I still choose VW Golf.

“It is a true enthusiast that likes these cars.” There are also such opinions, But the preference varies from person to person.
I want to play Forza. Not need Spirit of Speed 1937.

I wonder if they look at real car trends when choosing cars for the game. 80% of non car people motorists would chose a X5 over a 5 series, F-Pace over an XE or a Audi Q3 over an A3, Bentley say the Bentongawongawoo is expected to be the biggest seller. So while the real life data shows SUV’s an crossovers to be the most popular, that isn’t true for car enthusiasts. If everyone was a car person I think you’d find it would be 80% that preferred M5 to the X5M and such.

Its like bringing a bus to Forza, it would be a laugh but we don’t need 12 different makes and models.

I think its frustrating too that the SUV and Trophy Truck categories aren’t exactly short on numbers, yet things like the Forza LMP1, Forza LMP2 and touring car classes are woefully short on numbers and in fact we have lost cars since Forza 6, mainly the Toyota ones (although the Toyota issue shouldn’t have affected to Rebellion as it isn’t Toyotas to licence and they don’t own the IP, but it being classed as a Toyota may have annoyed Oreca and Rebellion), plus all bar the '17 RSR and '16 GT, the whole GT2/E, GT3 class are way outdated. But to be honest seeing new GT3 in DLC would be disappointing as every other game has been doing that and they should have been in from the get go.

At the end of the day, some people like JDM others don’t, same with supercars, muscle cars and vintage cars, but it seems like a fair majority don’t like SUV’s and It’s a shame to see them picked over things like Super Touring cars and 90’s GT1 that never seem to get a look in. Mind you I’d love using the Buggies and Rally Raid stuff if we could set up Long Beach like the Stadium Trucks plus the same to Rio or with a sand/snow storm version of Dubai and Alps with parts of the track covered, that’s when this stuff would have a home and be fun.

I’m sorry but this car pack it’s the worst ever car pack in forza motorsport history.
I hope we will have more interesting choice of car on the next.
Game is awesome but dlc this it, 's unnecessary.

Horrible “car” pack. Can you guys really be surprised? Limousine and cargo vans in a track racing game. At least we have the UPS car pack next month featuring UPS delivery truck and matching driver gear. I’m really waiting for an ice cream truck too.

A UPS truck and an ice cream truck would be awesome!

Technically you could do both the with Transit Van and/or Vandura.

Don’t forget the garbagetruck…

Usually, despite whatever initial disappointment I might have regarding a pack, I come around on it after a few hours. Part of what helps is the packs are usually pretty diverse, but this one feels too much like there’s 3 things in it: classic pre-war cars, trucks/suvs, and the Chevy (when we already have similar cars in game). I realize that’s painting each of those categories with a very broad brush and that it’s not really a fair characterization, but for once we have a pack that just doesn’t come across as diverse and as interesting for me. Usually what I am disappointed in with a pack is just something I didn’t know I’d love, but that’s not happening for me this time.

I certainly really appreciate a lot of those old cars, I just don’t generally enjoy driving them. I suspect I’d feel otherwise if I had a wheel, I enjoyed the more unwieldy cars more on the 360 generation games than I do on Xbox One and I attribute a lot of that to being able to drive them with a wheel and pedals and I imagine it would help with some of the hairier cars in this generation of games if I had a wheel.

Certainly I’ll come to enjoy some of them, I will just hope for more (subjectively to me) diverse packs in future months.

Definetly the worst car pack yet, like a previous poster said we want car to use on the track not off road crap. Same with the special dealer give us cars we can use not trucks and old junk.

I’ve flushed better packs down the toilet.

In all seriousness this constant deluge of SUVs is ridiculous. I constantly watch Real Racing. And recently have just rewatched the 2017 24 hours of LeMans in 24 hours of the Nurburgring as well as a few others and guess what… I didn’t see a single SUV. I know it’s hard to believe there wasn’t a Jeep Cherokee out there racing around. The fact is a stock Jeep Cherokee is not a motorsport vehicle it is an SUV for soccer moms and people that think they’re off-roaders.

I would be more accepting of these vehicles and less critical if this was the only racing game that this company produced. But the fact is: when you have an accessory version of your game that has all of the other types of racing and vehicles, including a Hot Wheels track, which is a blast even though it has nothing to do with real racing, you don’t have to throw SUVs at people. Especially in car packs that they paid additionally to have.

I think we all kind of get a kick out of the mystery of what cars were getting each month and then we get a kick in the stomach when there are these cars that have nothing to do with our game. And as has been appropriately stated by multiple people, we have no where to even properly race them.

Finishing the elite career was an enjoyable accomplishment. The only part of it that I abhorred was driving the ridiculous trophy trucks and desert blasters on race tracks. You don’t use a Ferrari 458 to haul your boat, you don’t use an SUV to drive on a circuit.

Somebody at Forza really has lost touch with what this game is about. And this is just another way that it is evident.

While I agree the Jeep Cherokee doesn’t make sense in this game, Jeep’s have no equal off road or truthfully, on road as well. And yes a lump like a Ferrari 458 will never tow a boat because the thing couldn’t handle it. The only thing painfully overpriced exotic’s are good for is pumping up ego’s.
A Jeep is closer to being a track car than an exotic will be to anything other than an expensive toy.

Somethings seriously wrong with you…

Nothing wrong here. Maybe you? I get that a Jeep SUV makes little sense in this game, but when folks go on to make stupid comment’s, well, I give it back. First off, at least where I live, most Cherokee’s spend a great deal of time off road and do better than anything else. Soccer mom car? Hardly. Not a capable off roader? Non better.
Now, live with a Jeep for a year or an expensive exotic and come back in a year and tell me which one is more rewarding, and I bet on the Jeep.
A Ferrari is a great video game car and a dream for many people, but live with one in the real world. I know people who have. Hope you deep pockets to keep it running.

I thought the trophy trucks were great and it is a track-based motorsport after all. I also generally have no problem with weird vehicles being in the game.

The best packs to me are just the ones with a broad variety of classes and types of vehicles.

The only time I’ve seen a Porsche Cayenne drive fast is through my neighborhood while the soccer mom rushes to bring her kids to practice. The Bugatti T35 was actually pretty fun to tune and run on Lime Rock.

Man o man o man lol … absolutely no love for the soccer mom and dad’s of the world  E is for everyone so maybe they are just expanding the fan base to people movers … kiddin of course lol. If we are lucky we won’t get a pack next month consisting of the following

  1. Dodge Caravan

  2. Ford Aerostar

  3. Chevrolet Astro

  4. Chrysler K Car

  5. Chevy Tracker

  6. Yugo

  7. 1978 Holden Commodore VB … don’t hit the wall

I know, I know it doesn’t make this pack a home run but … whew we could have got the whole coal car … all in fun Forza Friends

It could be worse though:

  1. Toyota.
  2. Honda.
  3. Some super duper ugly duckling hypercar.
  4. Another Porssche, BMW, or Ferrari. How many do we need?
  5. Another Chevy.
  6. Another Ford.
7, Another Fast and Furious car.
personally, I like the variety Turn 10 offers, but depression sets in when I go the car section and find so few Plymouth, AMC, Oldsmobile, Buick, Mercury, Chrysler, Studebaker, and others lacking. There is a wealth of automotive greatness just begging to be tapped, and it get’s ignored for whatever reason.
