as you may know hungary currently has issues with the forza horizon 4 online play.
we get the error message that the DNS could not resolve the server’s name b50ccb1a-4212-569f-b2b5-80a476e59ac8. also there is another error message: IPSECx089232001
There has been a workaround in forza horizon 3 to set the primary and secondary DNS to google’s servers. in this case it is not working so i would like to ask, is it possible to provide the server’s
name and/or IP address so we could check with the ISP?
As per forums and groups on the internet the whole country is suffering from this case. the only common point is that we have the same ISP (or the same ISP with different last mile ISP)
If the information is unavailable could you please get in touch with “Magyar Telekom” and troubleshoot the case?
I’ve seen a Hungarian streamer from a hardware/software vendor site play the game just fine, but I can’t join either. Telekom, ZTE Speedport Entry 2i router, connection is perfectly fine according to Xbox network analyser.
I have the same problem as mentioned above. Also living in Hungary, my ISP is “Magyar Telekom” with ZTE Speedport Entry 2i router. Xbox app says everything is fine, NAT opened, perfect connection and ping, 0% packet loss.
Yet my FH4 gives the error that it cannot resolve server’s name.
Also tried with the setup where the ZTE is in bridge mode and I have added a different router to the network. Opened up every ports needed and nothing changed. It must be something wrong at the ISP’s side. Maybe we get a corrupted DNS server that is blacklisted at Microsoft or just simply the FH4 servers are blocked in Telekom’s network.
ps.: My friend lives on the same street as me. He is on the same backbone network as me, the only difference is that his ISP is “Invitel”. Everything works for him like a charm. I have brought my PC to him, hooked up to his network, and no wonder, my game could join online there.
We need a solution from either MS or ISP side, All of us have payed the full price for the game and only able to use half it, nonsense.
ISP(in my case Magyar Telekom) and Microsoft should resolve this issue together, but they wont make a move until this problem is not reported on both sides. I am going to contact both of them and let them know what is going on.
Hopefuly I can get past of those clueless workers on their support line who are always giving the scripted answers they have been taught to say.
The solution would be pretty easy. MS should tell the IP addresses and the names of the FH4 servers that they use so our ISP could let the traffic go through the specified ports. Telekom is well known for their strict network policies, no wonder this connection is not working by default on their side.
Same here. A few years ago I was the same problem in World of Tanks EU2 server. Couldn’t connect from Telekom’s network like now in FH4.
It’s very annoying. I buyed this game in Ultimate pack with my friends in pre-release to play multiplayer and stream it to Twitch, and after the release we still haven’t play in cooperative mode…
In other hand, my Steelseries Arctis 7.1 headset don’t works with this game trought USB in “game” mode, just with the “chat” mode, where the chatmix don’t works and no sorround.
I played before the FH3 and a lot of other game, (pre-relase games too) without these problems. I know, the DNS problem isn’t Microsoft fail, but we payed (with my friends) a lot of money for this game, and we can only play in singe player mode and ith very-very annoying!
After tweeting at Forza Support, and they completely ignored it, Telekom HU stepped in and tweeted at me to provide them with information. They also tagged Forza Support so they can cooperate on solving the issue. Here’s hoping we’ll get somewhere.
I had this issue too because I’m a Magyar Telekom client too (magyar vagyok) and I found a workaround for this problem. Use VPN service until the Telekom or the devs fix it.
Even though this bug is still standing (xbox one) I can not believe that there is not any solution to the problem in a week or so After all, Telekom has done so but the other side does not know I hope your weekend is good because if you do not have to run roughly against this!
Same Problem, with Vidanet ISP. Vidanet work with Telekom network.
What should i do to know Telekom about my problem as well?
What to send and who?
Got someone answer from Telekom or Forza support?
I am also a telekom customer and I have the same problem.I have changed the dns to the google dns server, yet it isn’t working.I get the same dns error message.
My NAT is open, every other game works fine.I have contacted the forza support a week ago.I have bought the ultimate edition, yet I can’t play it properly.
I hope they give us an answer this week because I am pretty disappointed.
