After a couple of months not playing I decided to give it a try once again and noticed, that the issues with the VIP bonus payout after a race not showing and settings not saving are still present.
When I first played, the problem with the VIP Bonus was easily fixed by restarting the game. The bonus would then work for the rest of my session. Now there’s nothing I can do to fix it. I’m not even getting it a hour or so into the game. Is this really still not fixed?
Same goes for the settings not being saved. I always turn off the the drivatar designs because for me it breaks immersion. With every restart of the game the setting will be reset. Really annoying.
These issues were already mildly infuriating months ago, but seeing, that this is still a thing after such a long time and so many patches is really a shame.
Is there anything I can do to fix this or is this just the way it is and one has to live with those problems still being present in the game? Is anyone else still having the same issues?
Two of the standard blah-blah-blah solutions they offered:
reinstall the “game”
remove the savegame and resync
As far a I know, there is no savegame on XBX, so no chance to delete…
From time to time I got the VIP credit bonus, but after every content update or CTD it was gone.
Randomly it reappeared but the criteria “why” or “why not” remain in the dark. Missed 7-digit credits this way.
Yes, those are absolute nonsense solutions, especially on Xbox.
And I have already reinstalled the game and tried desperately to fix it - which of course had no effect on this bug.
I mean, it’s good to know that I’m not the only one having these problems, but it also means that it’s really not fixed. Unbelievable.
For some people this might just be a minor inconvenience, but I have to admit this drives me crazy.
And let’s not forget that we paid extra for these bonuses and they still don’t work.
Regarding the CTD: Yep, I’m also experiencing it constantly. This really is another big no-no for me.
Coming back to this game after such a long time, I can’t help but immediately think that I’m just going to leave it at this point. What a broken mess of a game this truly is…
