I’ve been somewhat out of touch with Forza as I never jumped to an X1 and stayed with PC only. The last versions I played were FH1 and FM4 (I’m not counting FH2 on X360 and it didn’t have DLC anyway as far as I know).
So when the monthly car packs are released, is every car in that pack available to buy individually or only selected ones?
I ask because I can’t decide whether to get the standard or ultimate edition. Most cars in the pack I’m not interested in, it’s usually one or maybe two at best, sometimes none. So it seems overkill to buy 40+ if I’m only interested in maybe 10-12 at most. The VIP Car pack has a couple I like, the All Stars Car Pack has none, the VIP rewards is nice but not essential, I will play online but I’m not a big online player (hoping for PC offline) so the online events aren’t a biggie either.
That leaves the early access which is great but is it worth the extra cash for a few days, based on the other info.
If I can buy any car individually from the monthly packs it might swing me towards the standard edition, but then I think that an extra £30 isn’t much.
But I’m really looking forward to this release, whichever way I go but an answer to that question will help me decide.

Some are individual. But usually one car that’s the main car you need to buy the whole pack to get. But it’s almost half the price of the full package for a single car. So it’s a huge loss to do it that way
Yeah the car packs typically have 1 or 2 cars that are modern top tier cars. So for example they’d put a McLaren P1 and BMW M4, then 4 cars from the 1960s lol that don’t appeal to me and on Horizon 2 I always wanted to get just a single car for this reason and it was 2.49 for 1 or 3.99 for the whole pack.
That’s a lot for one car compared to the whole pack. I thought they might be 1 or maybe 1.50 but 2.49 is too much, even if I averaged 1 car per pack.
It’s the Beamers, the Audis, the Mercs and the Japanese cars that don’t interest me. Other than that I’m pretty open. But isn’t that the beauty of Forza, there’s something for everyone.
The extra £30 is definitely gonna be worth it then. Plus - EARLY ACCESS!!
Haha yeah packs are usually 3.99 and 6.99 I think. In that extra 30 quid you’ll get the VIP Pass too which is well worth it, do you know the benefits of that?
Well if it’s online only that doesn’t mean you must play that lol. Online isn’t competitive on Horizon, it’s just free roam which is the most enjoyable par of Forza in my opinion.
I like to race on single player and free roam with friends
Oh of course it doesn’t mean I have to use it, just that I might as well.
I definitely prefer free roam. Tracks in the FM series are great but free roam offers that degree of randomness and unpredictability that tracks can’t.
