In the top left corner where they show the amount of pit stops someone has they should also display next to it which tires they are currently on. This should also help with players being on a different strategy from defending too hard. For example if someone is on hards they shouldn’t need to defend too hard against someone on fresh softs/mediums.
It would be good for strategy to know what tyre compound your competitors were currently using, which could simply be displayed as a colour or a letter next to their names in the top left of the screen.
This would be useful because you can understand whether you can expect the person infront of you to pit soon or if they’re going long into the race, and it’d be possible to judge your lap times against theirs more accurately while taking into account the differences between compounds.
I think it would be cool to see a player tire compound while racing, to better your tire strategy

It’d be nice to know what compounds our opponents are using during the race. Either above their cars or on the running order on the top left. Bonus points if you can see how many laps old those tires are. This is info readily available to everyone in all racing series

I feel like in multiplayer races, a lot of players would benefit from seeing what tyres other people are on by having an icon next to their name in the leaderboard. It would make the player more aware of how those around him will act and what their strategy is.

making somone on fresh tires waste their tire is a good strat.
Now that endurance races are a thing it would be a very helpful option to see your opponents tyre choise, would help a lot with planning your strategy.
Also a side note. Would be cool to see a ”estimated tyre wear” gauge like the fuel gauge.

Have on the leaderboard hud what tyres everyone is on and how many laps they have done.

In the replay interface, Indicate tire compound used or fitted on each car in the race
It would be nice to see what tires the opponents mount during the race to be able to make different strategies.

Having this information in UDP would open up a lot of interesting projects.
I think that you need to add the tyre types that your rivals use during the race in the HUD.
If you think about it, in motorsport in general, you know what type of tyre all drivers use.
