So this is a bit of an odd one I know and it seems nowhere else is anyone having similar issues. I can join my friends in the menu hopper, I can join public games but when I attempt to create a private game all my friends get disconnected with the error message “disconnected from server” and nothing else while trying to join, likewise if I try and join them although they can join eachother just fine
- My Nat type is Open
- Teredo is running
- All ports are forwarded
I’m pretty stumped and would love any tips
Okay so an update.
I now can’t seem to join any games, it searches for a while then eventually says “unable to find game session”, even stranger I did find a few lobbies with high latency but very few players present, meanwhile my friend at the exact same time was able to quickly find fully populated lobbies, stranger again I cannot join those lobbies and he cannot join my lobbies. I have also since tried the following fixes to no avail
- Restarting Teredo
- Disabling my routers firewall
- restarting my router

Okay for all in the future the problem was caused because I had installed off a backup from a friend (installed via powershell) and didn’t have the latest version because it scouldnt check as it assumed I hadn’t downloaded the game in the first place
All you need to do is open windows store, restart the download, it will begin downloading the 96gb, then it will finish a few minutes later and then will be able to update. Then go forth and play all the online your heart desires
