Disc Unreadable of GoD copy of Forza Horizon

I bought the forza horizon GoD digital copy a little while back and it’s never worked. Boots up plays the intro video and then boom it freezes and gives the disk unreadable error, which doesn’t make sense seeing as in how it’s a digital copy. Microsoft told me to post to here to maybe get a new copy or download code so I could at least downloaded it on my xbox and play. Thank you gamer tag, KIN6 JAM35.

Better off sending an email to forzafb@microsoft.com - you will get an auto reply and it may take some time for it to be seen too.

I remember people talking about this problem many months ago. A dev said they were aware of the issue and working with Microsoft to solve it. One would think they should have fixed it by now…

I believe they worked out what was happening (has something to do with DRM I think) and how to sort it out but can’t find it now (it was on the old forums).

Okay, I’ve just come across this issue yesterday. Is there ANY REAL solution for this problem yet?

License transfer is not a solution. I use 2 360s. My primary (fat) one which plays it fine, and my second 360 (s type) in the bedroom gets that disc eror message.
I’ve tried running it from the internal HDD and 2 different external HDDs. No diference. Redownloaded it, no difference.

The disc version of Horizon plays fine, both playing directly off disc or install the disc version onto the internal HDD.

Also, plays fine on both my XBOX ONE consoles, via backwards compatibility.

So I’ve searched around at it looks like this issue has been around for at least 3 years, and no solution as far as I can tell.

So yeah, I ask, is there ANY real solutions for this pretty big issue? I REALLY hope so as I don’t want to use a disc every time I want to play it on that console.

Yep, this has been a problem since it was released on digital… I have questioned why they have not removed it from the store with what is a huge issue. It doesn’t happen for everyone, but because of this i decided to stick with a disc. Thankfully the digital version does work for me. Never heard of anyone getting refunds …all a bit naughty for not sorting the issue !!

Damn. That does blow. I guess I have to use the disc on that console.

It’s good to know that it does work for some.

It’s kinda hopeful that I can someday trick the system into making it work, someday.
