So Ives been playing Forza since it came out and got a Fanatec about 2 years ago. I’ve been racing and Drifting and am sick and tired of all the controller kids pushing and shoving and then getting away with it cause they can correct easier than me who uses a wheel. Plus I drive spiritedly in real live in a BMW, so using sim steering and a 900 degree steering wheel is the only comfortable transition between actuality and the virtual world even though in real life it is waaaay easier to correct a fishtail and judge throttle input mid corner, i still enjoy the challenge Forza 4’s crappy physics. So is there anyone out there who is willing to race or drift who uses a wheel and the same settings as I do?
This post… You do realize its the wheel users that has an advantage over the controller users right? and stop crying about people having an easier time than you because they use controllers, no one forced you to buy a 350$ Wheel.
There is no reason to bait on these forums.
Besides that, some controller drifters are in fact able to keep up rather well against wheel users, which does unfortunately counter your point Kailer, but then again those people are a minority. And yes, the majority of wheel drifters are quicker than roller drifters, the only way to fix that is to, well, get better. Yes I’m a wheel drifter now but hey, I was able to keep up with some average wheel drifters when I was still on the roller. Besides, it will take just as long to learn on a wheel on Forza as it would for real life, maybe that bit longer or just that bit less, the environment that you would practice in though would be completely different. And many of the 900 degree steering drivers are in fact slow, because you transition slower (yes, even on sim steering because the force-feedback cannot keep up with the rate the car is transitioning at), that is why most of the GOOD wheel drifters use 540 degrees or less. So yeah, there’s what I think is both sides of the story.
But just to make things clear. JaMaKinMeKRAAZY has not specified whether this is in a comp scenario or not, I am presuming that it isn’t, therefore that will make him just slow if he is a wheel drifter (according to the rest of the wheel drifters on this game), but if this is in a competition scenario then it is the “controller drifter’s” fault because of a driver error, not because he can correct easier than you. And besides, living up to the common belief that ‘wheel drifters cheat by using them so they can be quicker than us’, how on earth is he able to push and shove anyway? He must be either straight-lining or you are still just very slow.
Please correct me if the situation isn’t what I have stated. If so, please explain the scenario and HOW he was doing this. Was the driver that caused you to make this thread being a troll in a hopper or user created race? Or was he just having a #aintcare moment?
EDIT: I do not drift with the same settings as you but I want to see if you are in fact living up to this hype you bring to these forums (no offence meant here). You should be able to find my GT pretty easily.
