Demo for PC and console - 10am Pacific Sep. 19

Well after I quit the game and started it again, it crashes to desktop lol.
I’ve tried a few times now and it just started working again, I am guessing it might be server problems.

Yeah I noticed the same thing, well I guess its not too bad. But I was hoping for unlocked FPS like Horizon 3, my videocard actually clocks down due to the game doesnt need all the power.

Anyone can confirm on XBox One if the demo is in HDR ? I know it won’t be 4K until November on the X1X but I was wondering for HDR on the demo. Thanks.

game is unplayable here… even in the menu i get so much lag I can’t do anything at all.

I have the creators update cuz it made me download it however forza horizon 3 runs fine so I wonder why im getting so much lag here.

Big turn down for me… cant even do the 3 races due to lag…

As an alleged engineer of way too many years the various MBps, Mbps, mBps and mbps that pop up cause a wry smile…

Initial pc impressions is it runs better than FH3 at launch. Still getting some occasional choppiness during gameplay and quite a bit in loading screens. Don’t have time to reboot or try anything else until later.

I am at work but my wife was kind enough to turn on my Xbox One S console so I could remotely initiate the download and installation of the demo. With any luck, it will be ready for me to play when I get home later this afternoon. While I am playing on my Xbox One S, I can download the demo to my PC as well.

My first Feedback on the demo:

I find Dubai in the Porsche very meh and not very interesting.
I really love Mugello in the Racetruck.
And I also liked Nürburgring in the Nissan and the dynamic weather.

I also noticed some stuttering when switching cameras or in the advertisement after a round finishes.

Played on Xbox One.

Still has the stupid speed sensitive steering that you can’t turn off. Some corners in Dubai I struggle to make it around even at a snails pace because even with joystick all the way over the wheels don’t turn enough!!

Well, I’ve started downloading at seven o’clock sharp (Belgium) and downloading was fast (16-20 MB/s).
I’ve been playing the game for an hour and there is an annoying bug in the game, well for me that is.
Namely, there is an option where you can alter the camera shaking (Simulation/Normal/Off)… no matter what option you choose, the setting in-game stays ON!!
I wanna see smooth racing, not a shaking experience, that why they implemented this in the game… BUT IT HAS TO WORK!
The whole smooth 60fps goes out the window with all this shaking, especially in Dubai!

Another annoying thing… no restart in-game possible.
OK, at an expo like E3 or Gamecom I can understand you don’t put such a feature into a demo, but for a home version demo? C’mon!

All this time to test a demo in house, and still this kind of bug gets into the demo!

I had very high hopes for FM7, but from what I saw it’s a bit of a let down for me.

After numerous CTD’s it decided to let me play it.
Benchmark says 60FPS, only to find Dubai lagging and stuttering (with no fps counter hard to say) but guessing around or below 30FPS at times.

Maybe try the other tracks tomorrow, but for now im really not impressed.

I was going to record gameplay via streaming but i guess we cant stream the gameplay to mixer or twitch through the xbox?

Also noticed there is a “Quit the Demo” button on the Xbox.

When pressing “Quit” the game makes that awful Sound like when a game crashes on the Xbox.

I really wonder if A) Quitting a game and B) Making it act like a Crash is intentional.

Liked the demo, especially Nurburgring.

Compared to the FM6 demo this is very basic.

With the FM6 demo once you completed the single player events then some Rival events unlocked. This isn’t the case with the FM7 demo as you only get 3 races and no Rivals. This is surprising as FM2/3/4&6 all had leaderboards on the demos.

Enjoyed what I did play though.

Xbox One player here - I loved the demo. I like the flow of Dubai, although the Porsche isn’t my cup of tea. The trucks on Mugello were a hoot, and the Nissan on Nurburgring GP was excellent. Roll on next Friday, and roll on my One X in November!

What’s up with the steering? It feels awful using a T500rs wheel. There seems to be quite a large input delay and also speed sensitive steering.

Feels very much like FH3 when it first dropped. Menu lag, dropped frames and lots of stuttering. GTX1070, I5 4670 with 1440p gsync monitor. Wasn’t expecting to be able to go Ultra but it seems that there is optimisation to be improved upon. Couple of crash to desktops and always crashes on trying benchmark mode.

Fanatec CSL Elite and Formula rim work well (with Leds working) though FFB only seems a slight improvement on the already poor implementation. Will still buy but was expecting better considering it was supposed to be built from ground up on PC.

Perhaps the Win 10 Fall CU will bring better perf (CU certainly did for FH3).

PC and Xbox One S Player Here…

PC - Ran through all races without CTD and the benchmark ran OK…

Windows 10 Pro Ver 1703 Build 15063.608
I7-4930K @ 3.4 GHZ
GTX 1070 8 GB VRAM
64GB System Ram
ASUS P9X79WS MB
Raazer Synapse Controller
Razer Kraken Headset and Mic

Benchmark Ultra Default 14.7 FPS Min 61.9 FPS MAX 59.2 FPS AVG although I didn’t notice the low min FPS during actual “race”

I will try Xbox One S with G920 when it finishes downloading

Turned off the motion effects and it still shakes. Makes me nautious im chase view but fine in cockpit. Please tell me this isnt right and the shake / movement can be turned off completely. Thank you
