Demo for Forza 6?

Agree. No demo. No buy for me.

This is looking to be the first Forza I do not purchase. Just rent to play then send back.

Anymore I only purchase games with fun or good multiplayer. Sadly Forza online is just a joke. I have yet to see Turn 10 punish the people that ram race 24/7.

Even something as simple as implementing leagues into Forza 6 would pushed me to purchase. When I say leagues I mean REAL Leagues like that is on Madden or such where you get group friends together and have a League you compete in. There is just no excuse why this feature has not made it to Forza. It should been in by Forza 4 to be honest. Been a blast to have a League with friends that could place and such.

Just not seeing Forza 6 being that much of an improvement over Forza 5 in single player experience to warrant a purchase. But that’s just me.

I’d still buy the game. A demo would just help me answer the question of; Ultimate Edition or not.

It may not be the best Forza, in your opinion, but it’ll still be an extremely good game - probably one of the best on any console, at the moment.

That’s not really their job. That’d be like asking an artist to police his artwork from people who’d wish to do harm to it. It’d be the museum’s job - or, in this case, Xbox Live.

Xbox Live offers “block” and “report” tabs on everyone’s profile. Reporting for unsporting behavior will sink them down into “dirty” or “cheater” lobbies, and blocking them will ensure you’ll never see them again. If you use the tools enough, you will find that the quality of the races will skyrocket. I’ve reported and blocked hundreds of dirty players, and as a result; I’ve had mostly clean races for almost a year. It does pay off, even though it’s tedious and annoying.

Turn 10 have added leagues in FM6. From what I’ve read on them, they’re very, very similar to the league system in Madden. It should make the racing much better - and I can’t wait. I’ll finally race people that are at my skill level, without worrying about DNFing half the field (because that always results in lots of hate messages, and a kick).

On the face of things; maybe not. But, that’s how things should be. Like with all past Forza titles, 90% of the work has been going on “under the hood” - pun intended. There’s no possible way that Forza 6 can be worse than Forza 5… there’s just no way. The new features like night racing, and weather alone will make the game astronomically better, and that doesn’t include the league system, and the new anti-cheat corner-cutting system.

So yeah. I think it’ll be phenomenal. Give it a chance - and hope that a Demo is on the way.

Cheerio!

Blocking someone only prevents you and said GT from being able to sends messages to each other. It in no way prevents you from being matched up with each other in the future.

Just checked - and I’m wrong! I do know that if enough people report the offensive player; that player will get dropped down into the “dirty” lobbies for unsporting players, and I believe that reporting the player for being unsporting will make it unlikely (if not impossible) for him to get paired with you in a game again.

No I’ve talked to the xbox live people many times and there is currently no way to make sure you don’t run into someone you don’t want to. I’ve run into many people in FM5 that had a red rep while everyone else in the lobby had a green rep. My buddy and I have even been matched up in 2v2 airmech games where both of us had them block/reported and both of them had us blocked and reported but we could only get matched up with them, even though there was 20+ people playing 2v2’s.

That is completely backwards to everything I have been told. Also every bit of info I have been able to read about the rep system says the opposite. Backwards to the countless people with red reps I have seen complaining on Xbox.com forums. One thing they all say is how can they get the reps back up if they are only matched with other red players. XBLPET have even stated how to get the reps back and how they are matched.

I’m just stating what I’ve been told by more than half a dozen xbox employees over a 2 year period in online chats or over the phone. I’m also speaking from personal experience since almost every time my buddies and I went to block/report someone in FM5 they already had a red rep, so how is it that we(green rep) were getting match with these guys? Also how do 2 people each having each other blocked/reported even get into a match with each other once(or 15 games in a row).

It doesn’t work, I’ve seen it not work and been told by many MS employees it doesn’t work.

How do you know they blocked and reported you? As far as I know there is no way to see that information.

Avoid me rep does not guarantee that they will never run into good player rep.
It says says
"Avoid Me
A user who routinely receives lots of negative feedback and causes trouble in the community. To prevent further abuse, the user will most likely be matched with other low-reputation players."

To me that means there are a fairly low number of people playing the game or game style you are and there is a limited selection. Or there are just way more red reps playing that and the average is so high greens are stuck with it.

I have played countless hours of COD AW and do not even remember seeing a red at any time that I have looked. Thing is I don’t look at every profile, and that’s the only way to see the rep they have.

Along with that it does not say once you block someone you will not be in a game with them. It is listed for the 360 but not on the One. The key word between the two pages is the word avoid. Xbox One simply says block and mute.

So I don’t see how the system is broke. In the eight years I have been on Live, the years I spent as a mod on Xbox.com and all the rest of the time I have got to know quite a few MS/Xbox employees. Not once have they ever said the system is broke, complain about it and it will get fixed.

I’m not going to argue with you about it. I have done plenty of digging around on this subject the last 3 yeas especially. Does it have it’s draw backs? Yes, just like any other system. But it does work as it is designed.

You just backed up my point that blocking/reporting someone does not mean you will never see them again, that’s all I was trying to get across since almost everyone assumes that blocking someone means you won’t ever see them again. And as for me “knowing” that they blocked/reported us also was because we talked to them about it since we couldn’t get matched up with anyone else and decided we would block/report each other to see if we could get matched up with one of the other 20 teams playing at the current time.

The reason I say it’s broken is because there is no way to actually make sure you don’t play with someone you don’t want to.

Then I’m wrong. Xbox needs to fix this…

Agreed the MS people I’ve talked to about it say that if they get enough people to complain about it then it will prob get changed to a real block like it should be, so feel free to let them know you all would like it that way and not the way it is now.

Yeh, yeh.

There, y’see? Even the Dragnet agrees! Bring on the demo.

That’s part of my point, it does not say anywhere that there is a way. System works as designed.

Blocking means you can not talk to them, they cant talk to you and they can’t see if you are on line. Reporting each other will not work either. Reports are not looked at the second they go in. It can take 24 hours or more. So the fact your talking about getting matched up with one of the other teams at the current time a report would not factor into it at all. Not to mention false reporting is against the CoC and ToU

Now if it said “We make sure your not gonna play with people you block or report.” then yea I would say it is broke.

Can we get back to topic now?

Please lol

I just clicked on this read all the way down and no mention of a demo anywhere… great thread. So if there is a Demo I expect it about 2 weeks out, but not getting my hopes up.

I have purchased the ultimate edition and will be getting early access. I really hope that they don’t have a Demo at the same time as early access. To me that would be a slap in the face for people who bought that pack and could have got it for free. I just don’t think that would be right for the ultimate buyers. I would definitely think twice about purchasing it again!!! Hope I am just worried for nothing

Oh, I dunno. We get full game, they get a track and at best a couple of cars. It wouldn’t bother me.
