Demo dialogue "best hot hatch on the planet?"

Well no, a real car guy doesn’t have to appreciate any car to be a real car guy. There’s cars a lot of us I assume despise. I for one absolutely despise the Pontiac Aztek or Fiat Multipla.

And sure the FK8 has a lot of acomplishments, I appreciate how quick it is, but that doesn’t take away from the Focus Rs. It is still one of the hottest hot hatches out their which is what I believe was said. No need to consider another line because it’s not false.

You contradicted yourself mate.

It isn’t a false statement, it’s an entirely subjective comment.

I personally really dislike the Civic (had a test drive when it was released in the UK) and would personally call the Focus RS or the AMG A45 amongst the best hot hatches on the planet. So for me the fact you disagree does not make the comment false, in the same way that my thoughts do not make your own subjective comments false.

I kinda like the FK8, but I prefer the FK2. Less stuff going on in the design of the FK2. FK8 has these vortex generators, massive wing, 3 exhaust pipes, air vents (some of which are fake), etc. which can be a little hard on the eyes. Yeah, most of it actually has a purpose but I like being subtle.

FK2 has a VERY VERY identical massive wing too though. A lot of cars have 3 tips, or even 4 tips these days. I prefer being subtle too, but the car is still a great car. I hated a lot of things going on with it, but after owning it, it doesn’t bother me.

I’ll take a VW R32, GTi, or Golf R any day.

I wouldn’t be surprised if there were some behind-the-scenes negotiations on who would have their cars featured as starters. In all cases, of course they’re going to want to have something positive and over-the-top said for whatever car is featured.

In terms of the actual cars, in some ways they’re a bit too good for “starter” cars. A hot hatch starter is fine, but then do one of the more “everyday” hot hatches like the Vauxhall Corsa, instead of the TT do something like a late 90s or early 2000s BMW or Audi, and instead of the Charger do something like a Ford Capri.
