Deleted tunes do not get automatically deleted from the CreativeHub anymore (it seems)

So far own tunes that you deleted in your garage automatically got removed from the CreativeHub (indicated by the “File sharing is reversed” message). This doesn’t seems to be the case anymore. Which is great news for tuners if true.

I haven’t checked if it’s the same with designs but if it actually is the case it’s a huge improvement.

Can you please check and varify that it’s not just an other bug and only happening randomly?

That’s been there for a long time, I got my tuning accolades finished on 22nd May last year and will have deleted (well tried to) all of them shortly after as they were all zero effort trash shared purely for the accolades.

They’re all still up there now and I hope nobody is using them.

Deleting the tune you’ve created doesn’t remove it from sharing. In order to actually delete the shared tune, you have to search for and download your own tune and delete that downloaded tune instead. It’s been that way since the previous games.

Another baffling design choice from the devs then, I know I certainly won’t be re-downloading the 128 out of my 130 tunes that are useless just so I can delete them like I wanted to originally.

The time that would take with FH’s slow menus would be far too much for me and could be better spent doing literally anything else in the game.

This simply isn’t correct at least if what is written in this message actually applies.

This translates to: Do you really want to delete this file? The file is not shared then any longer and you won’t receive any pay-outs anymore.

I’ve tested it with a tune that I uploaded and also with one of my own that I just downloaded. In both cases you get the same message when deleting. That’s why I’m wondering that some (!) older tunes that I clearly deleted are still available in the hub.

the message appears, that’s right, but if you search for that tune in the creative hub you’ll still find it - downloading the search result and then deleting is the only way to remove completely

test it - make a tune, check how many you have in creative hub, delete in the way you suggest, then check the creative hub again and the number should be the same

if it is the same, download it and delete it again and the total in creative hub should be one lower now

if it’s not the same then something’s changed - but that message is normal

Total pain - haven’t put many out in 5 but I found the same issues in 4 when I ran out of tune save spaces all the time.
There should be a simpler way.

Constin is correct. Both fh4 and fh5 after sharing a tune you have to download and save it and delete/unshare the downloaded file. This started a bit into fh4 and tmk has always been in fh5. The message shows but isn’t accurate.

Downloading the shared tune is also the only way to get the usage stats on it.

Thursday or Friday was the most recent day I’ve tested this to still be true.

Exactly. Such a hassle for something that should just be a simple delete tune and done.

Seems you’re right and tunes actually stay up as you said even if they should actually get deleted according to the message.

I wish it would be like that for designs but it unfortunately isn’t and they actually get deleted from the hub if you delete them in the garage.

What a clusterfield. They can’t even get the easiest things right. Like I already said elsewhere this game is just a shiny box full of bugs.

With designs, if you modify a shared design it will disconnect it from the shared instance and then you can delete your local version. I don’t know whether you get payouts or not at that point. It’s risky because if something happens to the shared instance you won’t have the local version to reshare. I will do that occasionally if I have similar versions or have the vinyls saved as backup.
