Is there going to be a Day One Patch to the pre-loaded game before it unlocks on midnight?
I think there may be, it says the file size is 63.3gb but I’ve pre installed the ultimate edition and all the add-ons on my Xbox one X and its only 60.6gb, I’m thinking the missing 2.7gb may be a day one patch, it’s he only explanation I can think of
Nobody knows, it isn’t Day 1 yet.
The “Day One Patch” released last week. there was a 4GB update for preloads released on Thursday.

Haven’t been on my xbox much lately, but just thought I’d log on and check if anything needed to be updated before tonight or tomorrow, and sure enough, I happened to go to updates under my games and saw this update sitting there waiting.
With my super slow net, glad I checked now in the final countdown.
Anyone else out there with slow net and who hasn’t updated yet, may want to look into it if you got hopes of playing at midnight…

For owners of the physical copy of Forza Horizon 4 the day one patch is 18.1GB
Mine is 22gb and that’s before entering in my Ultimate Edition codes which will likely trigger another GB or so. Would be nice to preload that since it just made the EA part of the Ultimate Edition quite pointles as it’ll be Monday before it’s finished.
I bought the Ultimate Edition last week and it installed / preloaded immediately for around 60GB. The next day there was another ~4GB update, and when I view it under Manage games it showed the game plus each of the parts of the UE bundle (car pass, VIP, expansion packs etc.).
I went to launch it for the first time this morning and there were no more updates or downloads - I did get a bunch of pop ups saying that the game (and some individual notifications for the DLC) was now ready to play, but that seemed more like it was just past the launch time, rather than because of any download. I clicked on launch and the game started right away.
at the moment for pc there is about 64,1 GB and at the moment a 850MB patch for the ultimate version
Does this day one patch resolve the quiet, somewhat muted car sounds?
