data stuck syncing at 99%

my game wont sync past 99%

Do not stop the sync,let it go could take hours.

You CAN use the Big X button to return to a reduced presence of the sync screen in the Live Dashboard, but continue to do nothing. DO NOT halt the update, DO NOT shut down the console.

Let it continue with no other games or functions being used. It will complete eventually.

This was instructions given to me by a Xbox suppourt agent, and it fixed the issue 100%


  1. Settings > Network > Go Offline
  2. Restart Xbox One from the Menu
  3. After the restart, sign out of your profile if auto sign in is enabled
  4. Settings > Network > Go Online
  5. Launch the game and it will ask who you are, so have the customer select their profile
