D1 Grand Prix Car Pack for Forza Horizon 6

Hello everyone!

With the official announcement of Forza Horizon 6 and the strong expectation that the game will be set in Japan, it’s time to talk about content that is absolutely essential for the new title.

The Forza games already feature a fantastic line-up of cars from Formula Drift, which is great. But for a game taking place in the birthplace of drifting—Japan—we desperately need a second official Drift Car Pack dedicated to the legendary series: the D1 Grand Prix (D1GP)!

D1GP is the heart of Japanese drifting culture. Implementing a D1GP Car Pack is not just about adding cars; it’s about giving FH6 in Japan the authenticity it deserves by including the series that gave the world JDM icons and unique racing machines.

Why the D1 Grand Prix Car Pack is CRITICAL for FH6

  1. Setting Authenticity: You can’t capture the spirit of FH6 in Japan without officially recognizing the D1GP. It will allow us to drive with authentic liveries, cars, and the atmosphere of Japanese professional drifting.

  2. JDM Legends: A D1GP pack is the perfect way to introduce unique, iconic drift builds that are either missing from the game or currently lack the official D1GP heritage (liveries, specs).

  3. Complete Picture: The combination of Formula Drift (Global/US drifting) and D1GP (Japanese drifting) would create the most comprehensive and deep drift library the Forza series has ever seen.

Proposed D1 Grand Prix Car List (Must-Haves)

We need the most iconic, unique, and legendary cars from the series. Here are four proposals that would make this pack instantly legendary:

  • Toyota Mark II JZX100 (Daigo Saito): The legendary JZX100 chassis that was an absolute beast in D1GP, now banned from the series due to its dominance. This is a must-have piece of D1 history!

  • Toyota GR86 (Masato Kawabata): The current flagship chassis from Kawabata, showcasing the new generation of professional drift cars and modern D1GP engineering.

  • Nissan Skyline ER34 Sedan (Kazuki Natsukawa/NokuKen): A legendary, high-revving four-door Skyline from the Blitz era—an iconic JDM platform that needs to be officially represented.

  • Nissan Silvia S15 (Georgy Chivchyan/Gocha): Including a world-class driver and frequent international guest of the championship adds unique global flair to the pack and acknowledges D1GP’s international appeal.

Do you support the idea of a D1 Grand Prix Car Pack for Forza Horizon 6 in Japan? Let’s make sure the developers hear this!

I support the inclusion of D1GP cars in FH6. I would take this idea further by having players drive these cars in a “Drift Club”-style story and/or a drift racing series (to accompany the road, street, drag, dirt, and cross-country racing series). I think the drift racing series should work like FH4’s Drift Adventure or FH5’s Horizon Open Drifting, but events could be single-player or multi-player. As with other racing series, players could choose between completing individual events or championships. Drift racing events could take place on dedicated drift tracks as proposed in this topic.

yes we want this

Sounds like a good idea. They could also bring back the Top Secret S15 from the 360-era games.
