Yellow-tinted headlights long pre-date 90s race cars. The French have done it for about 100 years now
I know that the first time I saw yellow headlights was a Citroen DS my step dad bought when I was a kid (he liked weird cars). But they do look good yellow headlights on a modified (tastefully bodykitted)car especially Japanese cars for some reason (I’m just biased)
I love the idea of upgrading headlights. Night racing in a 70s/80s/90s car is scary dark. It also would be great if the off road rally lights on cars would work. Great example is the Celica. You get 4 massive lights on the grill and 2 mounted by door mirrors. Night driving made easy if they worked. I was very disappoint to find out they didn’t.

Led and hid will be good including hi beam and spot lights and driving lights
It’d be awesome just to have headlight tints as well so we could change the colors of the headlights like in GT racing in real life!
Forza Horizon 5 or the next installment should add the ability to tint a car’s headlights similarly to tinting the windows.
For the GUI in the Paint Car menu, add an up-arrow above the Tint Window (see below)
The Ginetta G55 in Motorsport shows that it is possible.

Doing these can make the game very fun. I don’t think it is very difficult because the alpha maps are already ready.

Yes, and it would foster diversity and a more inclusive environment.
it should also show the color on the ground
and work when you put rally lights on the front of your car like it should also change the colors of those.
