Cross-Platform Synchronization for Save Data and Purchases in Forza Motorsport and Forza Horizon

Before I start, I want to mention that I’ve looked around a bit, but I couldn’t find anything on this topic. If it does exist, I apologize for creating a duplicate post.

I would like to propose an important improvement that would greatly enhance the gaming experience for Forza Motorsport and Forza Horizon: the ability to synchronize save data, purchases, and progress across platforms.

Why is this important?

  1. Maximum Flexibility for Players: Many players own multiple platforms and want the flexibility to play their games on different devices. If a player has already purchased the game from the Microsoft Store, it would be great if they could use their progress and purchases on Steam or any other available platform. This would offer players tremendous freedom and significantly enhance their gaming experience. It doesn’t even need to be a permanent synchronization where I can switch platforms as often as I like. It would be sufficient if I had the option to transfer my game and progress to another platform upon request if I find that I’m dissatisfied with the current platform and would prefer to play on a different one.

  2. Improved User Satisfaction: Cross-platform synchronization prevents frustration from losing progress and allows players to continue exactly where they left off, regardless of which platform they are using. This would be a big step toward customer friendliness and would greatly increase player satisfaction.

  3. Increased Loyalty and Engagement: Knowing that their progress and purchases are available across all platforms, players are more likely to engage with the game and make additional in-game purchases. This increases customer loyalty and creates a stronger community around the game.

  4. Technological Feasibility: In today’s digital world, cross-platform solutions are technically feasible and already implemented by many major game developers. There is no reason why this should not be possible for Forza Motorsport and Forza Horizon as well.

Conclusion:

I am convinced that implementing cross-platform synchronization of save data and purchases for Forza Motorsport and Forza Horizon would be a win-win situation for both players and developers. It would improve the gaming experience, increase satisfaction, and create a stronger bond between players and the game.

Please consider this feature for future updates—it would be a significant advancement and would surely make many players very happy!

Thank you for your attention.
