My game crashes anytime I try to take promo pictures of the Emira, ‘Barbie Movie’ C1 Corvette EV/Hummer EV, Shelby Raptor, and the Donut Media Hi/Low cars
Photo mode crashing for me since season 22 started. Game hangs on entering photo mode for about 10 seconds, then just exits to desktop. I’m using PC/MS store version. Never been an issue until this current season.

Check that raytracing isn’t maxed out, if it is just drop it to high or even lower. Mine crashes also if raytracing is anything higher than high.
No crashes with lower settings.
That is correct. But the solution to the problem is nice to have, even if it’s not an ideal one.
Also I can confirm that I remember having problems when opening photo mode in races with ray tracing maxed out and lowering it down solved the issue.
Just started experiencing this today. Three times in a row I had opened photo mode while in a race and the game would immediately freeze for a few seconds then crash out to desktop.
I don’t recall ever having this problem before but the recent paid car packs have given me some new cars to grab promo pics of. I suspect this issue is pretty recent.
I did manage to grab some promo pics while in freeroam over the last week or two so for me it’s only happening during a race.

Started having this issue the other day. MS Store Windows version. It seems to only happen during a race.
In free roam I’m OK.
EDIT: Can confirm that dropping Ray Tracing from Extreme to Ultra alleviates the crash, for now. But I never had this issue since Ray Tracing was added, nor since the launch of the game. First time I’m getting crashes in Photo Mode.
EDIT 2: Just got a crash for the first time since dropping Ray Tracing from Extreme to Ultra. So I guess it’s not a silver bullet.
I forgot to clarify I was on PC and it seems to me putting Ray tracing reflections on high is good enough for it not to crash.
Hi for some reason, when I try to search any tune or paint by keyword or share code it doesnt search and the game crash ,when i click ,search, it either does nothing or the game stops working and I have to restart it
When i use this car in a race, online or single player, the game crash to desktop
how i can solved ?

Hey there, my game won’t launch on steam, so I have to launch it directly through the .exe file, which worked for some time. Now whenever I try to go past the start screen it asks for login (then it won’t let me log in) and just proceeds to crash. My DS4 controller hasn’t been working either since the new update came out. If anyone knows of any fix, I’d be thankful to know.
So, the game doesn’t give me any error message after shutdown. The problem occurs when I press enter in the start menu- an XBOX pop up appears with the option to log in, but when I click it, it closes instantly(the pop up) and gives me the “You may not proceed without being signed into a profile.” message, then it shuts down. And about the contoller, maybe I’ll take e look at it later, I may need be able to launch the game first xD.
Unfortunatly, it won’t even get to the email and password page, it just shuts down when I click the sign in button.
I have noticed fh5 crashing, too. I was playing and it just kicked me out for no reason. Just took me back to the Xbox menu!
How would I do that?
i installed the last update and have the same problem again. i must delete the game and install all new. and this is the only way to start the game after running an update. Every time i update (automatic) the game, i cant run it. why i have allways this problem and how can i fix it.

I had no problems before this update. This is really bad. every month the same fail…
can anyone help me, please.
I figured out if you only delete the final release .exe, then verify game files, you only have to download a roughly 88MB file and the game starts. (On the new Forza Motorsport , same issue)

I play on Xbox series S, every time I load into my car menu out in free roam it doesn’t load the cars and it freezes, doesn’t let me back out, I press the Xbox button on my controller then back out of it and the game crashes which has made me lose minor progress before, it has been happening since the last 3 updates I believe, I have around 950 cars so that may be the problem, the game loads my car list perfectly fine if I’m in the festival garage or a home.
