Hello all, just wondering if someone would be nice enough to take my ferrari for a test drive, handling-wise it still needs some work (probably lots) but thats something im still trying to learn, im at the moment, more interested in getting the gearing right.
Its the Ferarri Scuderia 312 T2 (posted about it before, using it as a learning car).
Its stock so dont need to buy any upgrades as Im still racing it in the 1970 Grand Prix career.
Out of the box tuning, it would gear really strange, getting sudden bursts in RPM causig wheelspin in the first few gears making it very difficult to power out of a corner especially since im still getting used to driving without TCS on. So I’ve got it set now that 1st gear changes at higher RPM, second also at reasonably high, then quite tight together from there, testing it on the oval track to me it feels like its getting through the gears a bit cleaner now and testing on nurburgring its much easier driving out of corners, and in the races it sounds like its accelerating slower than the competition but since the tires arent spinning it seems to be keeping up, can still get to about 268Kmh which is the maximum simulatetd top speed without bouncing the needle so as far as I can tell its a good start, but I wanted to know if someone with a bit more experience could check it out for me and see if it sounds right to them, im not that great with tuning yet and trying to learn so it would be good to see if ive gotten close or if im still a fair bit off. Also wondering if my approach of lengthening the troublesome gears was the right approach to that? have I done the right thing, or is my logic completely off haha, I can take criticisim well so have at me.
Cheers guys (and gals)
Tune details are:
Car : Ferarri Scuderia 312 T2
Title: Stock tune 2
Creator : Ruddy88
Its the only saved tune for this car I have so should be easy enough to find.
Also if anyone wants the specs for the gearing ratio I can just type them up if thats easier.
Any help is appreciated, Thanks again.
