Did you play Forza Motorsport 7? If so, that’s what gave it to you. If your bro does the same, he should get it too.

7 was 2017. It’s sequel, released about 6 months ago, is just called Forza Motorsport.

Nope, I have games pass but I’ve never downloaded motorsport.

I should also add he seems to have access to all paid cars (even the new acceleration pack) without needing to buy them, so I guess I’m wondering if getting content like this is tied to glitches (which are super common in this game)

When I streamed the game during a trial month of GamePass Ultimate, I had access to a few promo DLC cars that I didn’t own, namely the Ford GT OPI Edition and De Luxe Forza Edition. I was able to drive both of them despite never using a code for either. When I returned to my regular purchased copy of the game, I still had both cars in my garage, but I’m now unable to drive them since I don’t actually “own” the requisite DLC. This sounds like it might be something similar.

@TREVman180 answered already but playing Forza Motorsport (latest one) to the point where your in-game profile is created (or maybe after the intro driving bit) gives the car in Forza Horizon 5

@GaymerGirl67 not Forza Motorsport 7, the sort-of reboot that is next in the series

@Scimmia22 or Forza Motorsport 6 (you obviously know that, though!)

@TREVman180 yes, there is no way to get the car packs without buying them, that must be a glitch, the whatever-it-is version gives the car pass, welcome pack cars, VIP cars and any free cars from the two expansions but all other car packs cost real money

@PD_Top_Gun that getting-a-car-you-can’t-drive happened to me in Forza Horizon (1) and/or Forza Motorsport 5, always struck me as odd - I did nothing I can recall to acquire the car or cars

Is it required to have Forza Motorsport premium to get e-ray in FH5 or just play the game once?

I have played it just once via Game Pass to one of the two points I noted above, creation of profile or finishing the first bit of driving. No achievements unlocked. Hope that helps!
