Corrupted tune files after update and how to fix it [sort of]

So here is what happened with me:

Hello guys just wanted to share a quick recollect of what I just went through after this latest patch, some of my tunes appear to not load (E class and the yellow exclamation mark as if corrupt) 6 of my tunes on 4 different cars this happened to.

I tried to re-save and it lets me save it, it even shows the correct class and numbers for the vehicle but after I save and go back in to look at my tunes it appears to be corrupted still (E class and the yellow exclamation mark). Doesn’t matter if I re-write, or create a new one or if I change the name. further-more even changing parts and the build/tune entirely still has no effect.

When I highlight my “saved” tune and hit the A button it does NOTHING, no click, no nothing its like I’m not clicking. It will let me delete it by pressing X but I can’t share or load or select it.

I deleted all of the corrupted tunes (thinking these were the issue) and performed a hard reset in case any of the corrupted files or remnants were sitting in the RAM and still no go.

My progress is there, my cars are there and I can race said tunes. I just cant load them or share them, I can “save” them but afterwards they are rendered useless.

This is a GIGANTIC deal and I was only affected with 6 tunes/4 cars but it seems like I will never EVER be able to save tunes on said vehicles.

I have not tried to buy an entire new vehicle (of the affected cars) and tuning them/building them, that is my next course of action.

I will update once I have gone through that. Crossing my fingers but this should not have been a problem to begin with…

I did not start the game without the entire update being applied I am on an xbox and the update is currently downloading to my PC as well. So I cant confirm if the issue is for both platforms but again as soon as that update is done I will update accordingly.

Buying a new vehicle and building it/tuning it seems to fix the problem. I can successfully save the tune and does not appear to corrupt itself after but this means I have to write down every part and tune by hand in order to then spend money on a new vehicle and parts (which I shouldn’t have to do) in order to recreate my cars.

Its not a big deal I have the money to do it but this is not what I’d call a minor issue specially if more tunes are affected…

On PC I was able to re-create the same problem so it affects both platforms but the fix is also the same. Something with the update damaged the saved tune files and corrupted entirely the vehicles attached to said tunes. Which is why you HAVE to buy a new version of the vehicle to bypass this annoyance.

Bump because this workaround ^^^^ above does not work anymore. The tune saves corrupt for every single car I buy now.
