Correct Highway Entrances/Exits to Japan NEXCO Standards

As we can see in the pictures taken from the stream, the highway exits are the same as North American standards with individual ramps for each direction having their own intersection with the road. These kinds of ramps can be seen in Japan, but only within urban locations like the Hanshin Expressways, C1 Circular route, and Wangan Bayshore route. At that. The ramps are very compact and are parallel to the highway.

All Japanese highway intersections outside of these routes are designed like these. They funnel traffic into one set of toll gates and then distribute traffic to secondary routes (National Highways, etc.) via one controlled intersection and to highways via a series of ramps. There are a few exceptions like the top picture, which is a suburban expressway leading to a two by two, divided national route, but it still feeds all track going on or off the highway through one toll plaza. While toll plaza would be great, I understand the need to keep traffic flowing for when these routes are used as part of in world circuits. However, an open road toll signal overhead would be a great improvement. As the highway intersections currently appear, they have a flavour of being taken straight from FH5’s Mexico.

While I understand your frustration with rather unrealistic requests, there is an expectation that certain elements are included as they are the heart and soul of creating the feel of another place while world building. As it is, the game will likely be updated until release, so very few things are impossible. Whether my request is possible or not is up to the developers, but I, like many others, want to help them to make a world that captures the spirit of Japan and the unique design of the road infrastructure here is part of that. In the meantime, here’s some reading for you about the design of Japan’s interchanges.

It doesn’t matter. That part of the game is finished. Either they did or they didn’t at this late stage of development.
