Using Xbox One X and any of Elite controller, mini controller or the one that came with thw console.
If i select a blueprint race and then either coop or pvp, my controller will stop working once the race starts. Also if the race doesn’t get enough players and it goes back to freeroam, the controller won’t respond there either.
It is still connected and the big X button works and i can navigate the xbox menus fine. If I go back to the game it puts me in the Forza menus and everything there works fine. It’s just the driving that no buttons have any effect on. The only solution so far is to restart FH4.
I have the exact same issue, when i try to start pvp the controller is disabled. but i seams to work for the other players because i see them start
Same issue and we are not alone:
Hope some support member will saw this bug. Happend for me on Xbox and Computer. Whoever is host (Xbox or computer player) of convoy his controller stops working until he restart the game.
In any other event controller works fine.

I posted about this problem over 2 weeks ago in my “Game soft-locks when attempting co-op in a blueprint event” post, so far 44 people have seen it but I have yet to get answers as to wth is going on, also to add to your main post, on PC this not only disables the controller, it disables the mouse and keyboard as well as the controller, so the only choice I have is to restart the game and never do co-op or pvp in blueprints.
Kinda takes away the fun of racing against club members and randoms.
This problem has been resolved by the 2 last game updates, Co-op and PvP blueprint racing is now working perfectly. Moderators can feel free to mark this as fixed.
