Congratulations on the last two weekly playlists, the fun is back

Finally the developers brought back the fun to the weekly playlists. It was turning into a boring grind with repetetive weekly and daily events but the last two weeks have been greatly improved. More events, new PR stunts, fun created levels, smashing pinatas, driving through intense storms, reasonable racing events in A and lower classes, and more. Players who want to race S2 class street events in unbeatable can do it on any of the existing events. To casual players that just means they won’t the points needed to drive some of the new cars without having to lay down 20 million CR at the auction house. Even then many of the new cars won’t be available as they have only appeared once so people wont be selling them at any cost. Kudos, keep it up. Just one more thing … it has got to be close to new expansion time. Even though the map is large it is getting boring.

The playlist is straight up trash. Not a single seasonal championship…I thought this was a racing game.

Last season was all about racing with none or very few PR stunts. I agree with the first post. The last 2 weeks have been great.

Not liked the Playlist without the races. Worst Playlist in 4 years.

PR stunts and all are nice, but it would be nice to have at least one seasonal championship each week. I usually redo the championships multiple times each season but the PR stunts are once and done. Which means there is just the Trial to redo throughout the week.

I would have liked to see 1 seasonal championship at least.

I totally agree with the OP. Best 2 playlists since the start of Horizon 5. The last couple of seasons I only played enough to get the new cars. These last two weeks I have played many of the events multiple times,

Some may forget that this was pretty much the basis of Horizon 1 at the start. So while it is a racing game in part, it is also about this type of activity as well.

Also, we had no stunts last month, so I didn’t particularly care for last season at all.

Usually I’m quick to complain, but I also have enjoyed the last week and up to now, the PR’s have been decent and I’m actually today having a load of people playing at same time.

I really disliked the whole World Cup theme, it was tedious and predictable at same time and I didn’t like the cars all that much.

This series, I really dig the carpass and reward cars (minus duplicates) but yeah, overall I’m liking this series and the extra dose of PR is helping me crush accolades!!

Fun back? they keep taking out events most people enjoy, instead keeping em and adding others, like one week the pr stunts, this week the championships… they keep trying to force us into multiplayer for no reason. Events dont have any sense at all. They keep making you to waste 500k credits on cars to just do an event for 2 points. They just dont care and they dont even pay attention to anything. Fun back? sorry mate, its exactly the same since day 1 of the release. Gameplay is still garbage and nothing changed since then.

And still i may sound angry but im not, i know what im playing and im fine with it, i was lucky i didnt invest in it, my sister did. But of course im never going to buy anymore games from ppgs/ms in my entire life.

Its alright if you like playing Tony Hawk Pro Skate in cars. I can build my own stunt park in Tony Hawk Skate and even in MX vs ATV. They would even have an actual purpose. PR stunts have always been my least favorite of any playlist, and to make an entire sesson dedicated to them only killed any joy I could find in the game. After finishing the playlist,I went and build a stunt park that actually had a purpose. I would love to know the purpose and ponential joy one could find in running a car around a skate park smashing bowling pins.
I’m guessing they are designing this game for 12 year olds with adhd or something.

I think some people should get a grip.
It’s only a game.
If you’re not happy with what’s going on this week or month. Go play something else for a bit.
I totally agree with the lack of depth to the gameplay, and the bugs have been a pain. But, I now only do the playlist to 80%, and play a couple of days a week. That’s enough for me.

I’m still trying to work out why 1 type of event has to be absent for more of another to be present in these ā€˜themes’

Why they can’t just add more of that particular type to the standard line-up I don’t know, personally without seasonal championships these 4 weeks are more shallow than ever for me but there’s no good reason why they couldn’t have just added the increased amount of PR stunts to a standard playlist with the usual 3 seasonal championships.

PR stunts are alright but what do you do? Do them once for the completion then never bother with it again, with how easy the requirements for the seasonal ones have been they won’t even take up 5 minutes of your time or offer you any challenge.

The weekly chorelist has never been fun. Limited Time FOMO nonsense is generally the Anti-Fun.

They could give you the option of doing the PR stunts or the races. Once you chose which one to do, you can’t do the other. That way the points remain the same for everyone. The Map would only show your choice.

I could get way more behind this month of it was the start of something bigger. That’s what I thought it was going to be. Horizon Rush takeover would be the start of a series of festival takeovers, each bringing a theme to that month and adding actual new content. The map does desperately need new races.

Instead next month we’re getting new items in event lab. That’s it. Don’t get me wrong event lab is great but… Isn’t this supposed to be a racing game? Where’s Apex takeover, or Baja? Following up Horizon Rush takeover with this seems incredibly tone deaf and purposefully insulting to those of us who bought a driving game to race. Maybe those other festival takeovers are still in the works, but with the information as it’s presented to me right now, I can’t help but feel insulted, belittled and ignored be the devs.

If I were to look at this month in isolation of all that though, is say it’s just ok. It’s a neat idea, and the stadium in it’s current state is good fun, but it wears out it’s welcome quickly, especially without races to support it. Would be far less of an issue if we had the ability to make custom championships on our own, or go on a custom adventure, or at the bare minimum actually updated Horizon Tour with new content, but terrible design decisions abound I guess.

Thats what i dont get. Why an option? why not just give as the CHOICE to do whatever the h3ck we want?? the goal of the game is suposse to give you FUN. So why the h3ck they keep removing things and replacing them with others? why they cant just ADD em so people can have a choice and select just what they like and want to play??? and in the process, even missing some events they dont like, you still can gather enough points to get all season rewards. But you HAD FUN, and thats the most important thing. Why they need to FORCE us all the time in participating in every single frikkin event (because we dont have more choices) if we want just a frikkin car… its ridiculous.

At this point sorry but i just dont get people who says the game is ā€œokā€. All these problems were already present in FH4 at some degree (of course FH4 is way better game so its not that relevant) and they didnt even bother to change a thing. A single frikkin thing.

Im ā€œenjoyingā€ the game cuz i only play it for about 20-30 minutes every day (i have others way better games to actually have fun and have some relaxed timeplay) but that doesnt mean i cant see why this game is so terrible. Beyond bad.

And btw, the new forums are trash. I cant believe people prefer this format to the old one. Most unintutive and messy, unfunctional design ive ever seen.

The mistake is thinking FH5 is a racing game. Horizon hasn’t been a ā€˜racing’ game since… FH2 maybe? These days it’s a ā€˜collect cars and do random things with them’ game. Only sometimes do those things involve what you’d traditionally call ā€˜racing’.

If you want a ā€˜just racing’ game, you need to go back to Turismo, Project Cars, Grid, or some other series. Forza Motorsport perhaps.

They HAVE been great. My goal is to spend as little time as possible on the seasonals. Enough to get the reward cars and that’s it. And then when seasonals are done, I go play the main game at my own pace. I still haven’t completed all the Horizon story stuff. I haven’t completed all the ā€˜big races’ that are the final challenge for each racing discipline. I haven’t 3 starred all the main game PR stunts yet. I have plenty to do without needing to worry about seasonals.

So I love these shorter and easier seasonals.

There may be no championships this time, but you’ve still got the Trial for racing challenge.
