Restrictions

Car must be the Austin Mini Cooper with the provided D Class tune that I will provide. There will be no tuning allowed.

Individual paintjobs are not required but its always fun to see what people come up with

Qualifying will be a 10 minute session that will set the grid for the next race. The races will include 1 warmup lap to allow for tires to be warmed up and for everyone to get into their proper grid position. Once the grid is set, I will determine a time via the race timer to start the race. There will be no 3, 2, 1, Go. You must watch the race clock for the time to pop.

Collisions and damage will be on. I am a fan of close racing. Some rubbing is allowed but no barging people off of the track and no ramming where avoidable. If more than 3 cars are taken out in a wreck at the start of the race (corner 1) the race will be reset. Any damage causing wrecks afterwards that require a pit stop will have to be fixed in race. Hopefully this will generate some close racing that is fair. Absolutely no pitting other drivers. This can result in a next race ban. Repeat offenders will be removed from the series. I encourage all racers to save the replay from the races and any questionable moves to be brought up and we will discuss penalties if needed. Corner cutting will not be tolerated at all. Cutting a corner to avoid a major collision is acceptable but positions gained must be given up. Cutting for the soul purpose of gaining track position will result in a back of the pack assignment for the next race, regardless of qualifying time.

I do encourage practice in your free time. Knowing the car and the track is highly recommended. There will be between a 1-2 week gap between races. With the schedule posted, you will know which race is coming up. Practice makes perfect (and good racing!)

A headset is HIGHLY encouraged to allow for communication between drivers to call passes. If another driver is clearly faster than you, your encouraged to race them but deliberate blocking that can result in a crash is discouraged. Don’t ruin another drivers race because your not as fast as them.

The most important requirement is that we all have a good time. This is a video game. Let us not forget that. Championship winner will hold the title until the next season.

Once the grid is filled or 4 weeks has elapsed since this post, the series will begin. I will be broadcasting each race VIA Twitch.tv so if you don’t make it into this season’s roster, you can still enjoy the racing. I would encourage all participants to do the same. I will also do a replay broadcast on my Twitch account the day after the race. A post season review/highlights video will be put together for everyones viewing pleasure.

If you are interested, please post on here your interest in participating and send me a friend request on Xbox Live along with a message saying that you want to participate. Again, once the grid is full or 4 weeks have elapsed since this post, the series will begin. My gamertag is SGSUPERMAN105

Have you tried them at 600?

I have but I feel like for the series 400 would be good. Every other series run the fastest cars possible. With D400 Minis it tempts the drivers to push a little harder and take more liberties with the cars.

Me and my friends race them… They only get to 130mph, and you’re flat-out constantly on most tracks. I’ve tried the mini in various tune setups, and even 500 feels too boring for me. Nice idea though; they’re great fun to race with

I will look into 500. This first series is really to see if I can get a good group of racers together for some good online racing. There will be a faster series the next time around.

Great idea. I might join you at some point. I love racing in the mini’s

I am a Mini owner and this thread has been posted on various Mini forums so if you do join, you might be racing with some other Mini fans.

This sounds like fun.

The tune for the car is now live. Description is CAMCRS. Also, for everyone taking place, I have uploaded a layer group onto the store front. Every car must have this number board on the left and right sides of their car plus on the hood. Also, a circle with your number in it on the back. Layer group is under the description of CAMCRS Number Board

sounds like a laugh

What day/time? You said you would be providing the set up, does that include the tune? I’m fine running a spec build but there’s no way i’m running someone else’s tune.

If your not willing to run someone elses tune than you cant race in the series. I set the series to run a set tune so that everyone’s cars handles the same and has the same speed capabilities. Removing tuning allows for those that aren’t the best at tuning to have a shot.

I would be very interested in competing in this . Is there still spaces?

There are 5 places left for this event.

First race will be
Sunday, May 25th. 2:00 PM CST 8.00 PM BST
Road Atlanta Club Circuit
