I hate what you are doing to those 93 Vipers… That is all.
GM destroyed all the C7 corvettes in their captured test fleet (I believe is was a couple hundred cars). Most manufactures do the same thing. What’s the problem?
what? ok… well I got to rev one of them so I’m happy. but that is sad.
It’s compeletly different for the C7s though, they are new cars still in production. Those 93 Vipers that they destroying are original, rare and collectible cars that won’t ever be made again, and they are trying to get rid of them.

Actually it’s the exact same thing, they are preproduction cars that would have normally been destroyed, anyway. I don’t think people understand what is meant by “preproduction.” They are not representative of the production Viper nor can they be legally sold. Car manufactures also can’t directly sell cars, either. So they would have to find a SRT dealer willing to buy a 20 year old preproduction car to sell to a customer.
As a different example, there are (were) Corvette C5 preproduction cars that had iron block LS1s because even the prototype aluminum block LS1s weren’t ready for testing. I’m sure one or two of these cars are in the National Corvette Museum (remember there is no Viper museum), but to suggest all of these cars need to be preserved is a bit much.
This is the third reason I hate Chrysler
