I can’t harness the power when driving in s2 classes, I always end up last. But in S1 and A-class I always finish first.
Something else that’s boring with is that I have never encountered D, C and B races/games…
How can I choose and force to drive a specific class?
This will help in seasonal races also. There’s always some schmuck with fully tuned that makes the AI top S2 when I drive A in co-op seasonal objectives/races…

My guess is, after they get freeroam rush removed the push will be to eliminate A and possibly S1 classes out of the game. Kinda like a small group decided they were above B and lower classes, which is wy they no longer exist as choices.
Either that or they will give in to the pressure and bring back the voting system, which will make most of the adventures S2.
I’m pretty good at s2 and I still hate it, would never drive it if I could choose. I know the player base isn’t big enough to let us choose between all classes, but at least give us two choises: S1/S2 or D/C/B/A.
That’s a pretty bad guess. I don’t see why they would make all online races only S2. I agree with the op that not having any choice for class is really annoying. I end up having to back out of at least 5 matches before I find one that Is the class I want and not cross country or dirt. Its infuriating we cant choose what type of race we want to race online. Only way to do that is within the max 72 player lobby. You’re lucky if more than 1 person joins making it impossible to get an actual full race set up.
FM7 Has a way better matchmaking system in my opinion with all classes and race types. Only thing FH4 has on FM7 is free roam. FH4 Is the must watered down multiplayer experience ever and if things don’t change (most likely won’t by the looks of it) I’m not coming back. Even if FH5 multiplayer is 10x better they could of revamped this train wreck instead of having everyone fork over another $60-$100 for another copy.
Also haven’t been able to hear anyone since launch. I don’t think anyone on pc has… They take forever to fix basic crap. Only thing this dev team knows how to do is run FH4 multiplayer into the ground I’ve given up faith.

Agreed, there’s no way someone who wins every single race in A and S1 switches to finishing last every race in S2. It would mean if you did rivals you’d be like world #1 for every leaderboard for A and S1, but right down at the bottom for S2, it just doesn’t happen.
I tried multiplayer in FH4 one night, never got anything below S-something and spent all the night being rammed and gimmicked by no skillers. I never returned to multiplayer after that.
Im certainly not going to suddenly declare i AM skilled though but in a C B or A class car im pretty good. Too bad those optionbs are essentially deleted in FH4. Basically to have fun now you need to get good at wall riding get good at ramming and have some good quality sticky tape to hold that trigger down. Also be content to hear the tiring sound of an S2 V12 at redline, permanently
The only disciplines I don’t like are dirt S2, cross country S1 and cross country S2. Everything else is fun, though I’d like to see Bone Shakers and Shelby Daytonas banned from ranked, or daily limits placed on each when taken into A class ranked adventures.
Cross country is one my most successful disciplines, still I find it unsatisfying. Dirt S2 is similar, even when I place well I’m annoyed I had to put up with it when it’s over.
Playground Games knows we want to choose classes and vote for the next adventure.
The only answer we have is that this is an old discussion that has already been passed on to the developers.
Will they bring those options again?
In all games of the current generation, we have choices, forza is the only one that we can not choose according to our taste.
Let’s wait for news this month, but do not expect good news regarding Forza Horizon 4 multiplayer.
S1 cross country has quickly become my new favorite lobby. 9/10 i’ll win it, found something thats fast and handles quite well. If I do S2 which I also do well in, it has to be street race or at the very least road racing with strictly sprints. I refuse to do dirt or any lapped races of S2. Why? Because people will slide along that wall like you gain extra points for it. Plus it never fails someone flying into a sharp corner going 200 to wipe everyone out. I would love if they added some B and C lobbies, those would be extremely fun and probably LONG lobbies lol
It’s fun no doubt, it’s also simpler than road racing. The most fun I have in Forza is studying the vehicle’s behaviors through all parts of racing and tuning. Cross country is shallower than road racing in that respect. Even pure dirt racing is more interesting.
BTW, I thought of your comment about the Toyota Baja being overused when I took the Delta S4 into that cross country lobby yesterday. Being that it was all Bajas, Trailcats, and a couple TRXs, my Baja would have fit right in. Waste of good fun. Oops.
