Okay, so I thought: FM6 didn’t even have enough buffs and nerfs. Nerfing the Challenger Hellcat surely wasn’t enough. The FXX K is too exaggerated and should have been nerfed further in the first place so that it would no longer be able to even beat the P1 GTR or Koenigsegg One:1. Here are certain cars I strongly feel need to either be nerfed or buffed in FH3 and all future Forza games!
NERFS (-)
Ferrari FXX K → Increase weight by 464 lbs (211 kg) to give its PI a much-needed reduction so that its performance is no longer exaggerated, which means that it will no longer be able to beat the Koenigsegg One:1 or the McLaren P1 GTR. In real life, the Ferrari FXX K is slower both on the track and in the drag race than the P1 GTR. If the LaFerrari weighs 3,495 lbs (1,585 kg), the FXX K should be 3,295 lbs (1,495 kg) too since the FXX K is 200 lbs (90~91 kg) lighter than the LaFerrari.
Ferrari LaFerrari → Increase the weight by 464 lbs (210 kg) and weaken its acceleration times so that it doesn’t do 0-100 mph in 5.2 seconds, which is exaggerated. With the weight increase, its handling, launch, acceleration, and braking abilities are nerfed too. In real life, it cannot and should not even beat the McLaren P1 or Porsche 918 Spyder on the track and in the drag race, and this should be the same for the Forza games. In reality, the LaFerrari is anything but the lightest of the “Holy Trinity”: in fact, for comparison, the P1 weighs 3,411 lbs, the LaFerrari 3,495 lbs, and the 918 3,692 lbs. Ultimately, the LaFerrari should NOT have a higher PI than the P1 and 918, but only very similar to the aging Bugatti Veyron SS.
Hennessey Venom GT → This car never did 0-60 mph in 2.5 seconds, only 2.7.
BUFFS (+)
Lamborghini Huracán LP 610-4 → Buff its 0-60 mph acceleration to 2.5 sec. In real life, Car and Driver tested the LP 610-4 and recorded a blazingly fast 0-60 time of 2.5 seconds.
McLaren P1 → Buff its acceleration so that it can do 0-60 mph in 2.6 sec just like in real life. The top speed should still be the same, though: 250 mph (403 km/h).
(POSSIBLE DLC CAR) Porsche 918 Spyder → Give it a PI higher than the Ferrari LaFerrari but lower than the McLaren P1 after the LaFerrari has been nerfed.
Lamborghini Aventador LP 700-4 → The Lamborghini Aventador LP 700-4 was tested to do 0-60 mph in 2.7 seconds by Road & Track.
(POSSIBLE DLC CAR)McLaren P1 GTR → Give it a 0-60 mph time of 2.200 sec, a higher top speed, and greatly improved cornering, launch, and braking. In real life, the P1 GTR can beat the FXX K on the track and in the drag race, and this should be the same for the Forza games!
Chevrolet Corvette C7 Z06 → General Motors tested the 8-speed auto version of the C7 Z06 and recorded a 0-60 mph time of 2.95 sec and a quarter mile done in 10.95 sec at 127 mph (204 km/h). I would be fine with having just the 0-60 mph time buffed.
I strongly believe these performance fixes should be considered for later updates of the game and later Forza games.
A few cars’ performance indexes have been adjusted in the past, but it’s only done when a car is breaking the game, in a sense. The Dodge Dart on FM4 is one car that had its PI recalculated to be more balanced. It accelerated way too fast when built for a certain class; for example, it was in A class when it should’ve been in S class.
The difference here is that the example you mentioned didn’t touch the car’s performance at all - they just corrected its performance index to prevent it from cheesing a race with slower cars. OP here wants the cars he doesn’t like nerfed and the cars he likes buffed like they’re some LoL champions.
I know. It was either tell a story about games past, or attack the OP, and I’ve already done more than my far share of attacking over the years. Lol
His signature shows that he plays a lot of Asphalt 8 (and apparently paid the $100 microtransaction to unlock the P1), so jumping from that to Forza gives a person… Well, different, expectations.
Cars should be adjusted to reflect their real-life performance and potential, not “buffed” or “nerfed” to fit someone’s vision of game balance like a GTA car.
Forza uses dry weight for the ingame car specs and according to wikipedia the FXX K has a dry weight of 1255kg, so if anything it should be lighter.
The LaFerrari 1585kg figure is the kerb weight, not the dry.
According to Road and Track the LaFerrari does 0-100mph in 4.7 seconds so the car ingame is slower than it should be (probably down to a lack of launch control).
The PI figure is made by a complex algorithm that compares stats based on how it works on a track, it’s not as simple as just changing a car’s PI, it also doesn’t mean one car is definitely faster than another.
The LaFerrari is a WAY better car than the Veyron SS.
Forza doesn’t have launch control, that’s why these cars accelerate slower than they should.
The P1 GTR does 0-60mph in 2.4 seconds, not 2.2.
Son, let me fill you in on a little somerhing. It’s real secret, okay? That. Is not. Happening.
Cars don’t just get ‘buffed’ or ‘nerfed’ irl because someone wants them to be. Heck, I doubt you could even pull something like that off, short of pulling plugs and sandbagging.
Above all else, this is Playground/Turn10’s game, not yours. They’re gonna do what they want with it.
By the way, can anyone show me a drag race between these cars irl? That’s something I’d pay to see.
And above absolutely everything, it’s McLaren, Ferrari and Porsche’s cars. What they do in real life is what Turn 10/PG are doing their best to recreate. You want to change that, you’ll want to speak with Enzo and tell him that his cars need to be slower.
Good luck with that.
(Turns out Enzo died in '88, but you get the point. :P)
tfw you read the title and feel the irresistible urge to mock the OP’s idea that driving games work like Call of Duty and are supposed to be balanced
everybody already did that and all the good jokes have been used

Honestly tho, you come here, with that nickname, with that signature, and expect us to take you seriously if you’re saying that T10 should nerf the LaFerrari? Pfft. Git out.
Then there’s the little issue that the game isn’t even out yet, aside from the demo. And last I checked, none of those cars were driveable in the demo. So insisting that they adjust the specs of cars in a game you haven’t played (demo does not count – see previous sentence) is rather, well, silly.
And let me guess, if this isn’t done RIGHT NOW, you’re going to cancel your pre-order and never buy another Forza title again? Don’t forget to post the half-page tirade about how Turn 10 and Playground Games have destroyed gaming forever and ruined your life, blah, blah, blah…
Ain’t that the truth, Dribbly? I’ve been on this forum since around the time they released FM4, and I’ve seen this happen with that and every release since (and I’m sure it happened with previous Forza releases as well).
