Casio G-Shock Car Pack

The thing isnt actually the cars for me I actually like the cars in the pack the problem is this game is set in Europe! The Brat wasnt called a Brat here, the Bronco has never been sold here, the Ferrari 500 you’ll never see one on the roads and if you did then you would be being very careful not racing it so is a bit unrealistic .

You say adding more BMWs or Audis but thats actually REALISTIC Forza is meant to be realistic but theyre adding a car thats not even for sale yet to this game.

Its like how the Chevrolet SS is on here in a previous pack. That car ISNT for sale in Europe the car is for sale in the UK as the Vauxhall VXR8 sort of in that they are both based on the Holden Commodore HSV but you’re more likely to see an imported Holden than an imported Chevrolet SS.

To be fair the main issue with these games is the lack of Peugeot, Citroen (I mean just the DS3?!), Skoda, Vauxhall/Opel aren’t represented even nearly enough and Vauxhall shouldn’t be in it at all even in the UK version as you wouldn’t expect to see a Vauxhall on the continent you’d only see Opels. Theres no Seats on even as traffic cars. There isnt even Peugeot traffic cars. Skoda Fabia, Octavia VRS should be on here both as driveable and traffic cars as theyre everywhere.

The free car though the Mazda 3 that makes sense.

The problem with racing games with licensed cars I think is it’s impossible to please everyone, what is considered desirable to others may not be to others. One common debate I’ve heard with regards to real-life vehicles in racing games is exotics vs. “ordinary” vehicles, on one hand I’ve heard some people argue games with large car lists like Forza should pay more attention to more exotic vehicles because for many people driving or owning such vehicles may never be a reality, and this fulfills that fantasy. On the other hand, I know of people who feel exotics are a bit cliched in racing games (Face it, until games with bigger car lists came out, they were virtually only the type of licensed vehicles in racing games) and would like to see more “ordinary” vehicles such as common enthusiast vehicles with large followings, be it more types of Civics or Mustangs.

The same goes for the inclusion of more imports or muscle, I’m almost certain everyone has heard of one guy who feels there needs to be less “American junk” in a particular game while the next guy wishes the focus on “Japanese crap” is too high. I think what types of vehicles people like are way too varied to allow for unanimous praise or hate when it comes to which vehicles are featured in a particular video game.

You’ve hit the nail on the head. T10 tries to walk around the issue by making varied car packs, but every time, people freak out because it’s not ALL EXACTLY what they wanted.

I think we should be glad that the Subaru BRAT or Ford Bronco are even playable in a video game at all, but at the same time, a lot of people would have taken several other cars over those to begin with.

What’s in the pack?

Careful, you may be hitting someone in the head.

IMHO, this pack may not be the most “whoah”… But it’s a good pack nevertheless.

Can’t wait to drop a modern V8 in that Bronco, hoon around in the IDx and emulate the Mille Miglia drivers in the 500 Mondial. There will be time to add more modern cars - and they’ve been catching up from the launch of Horizon 2 until now, I’m totally for it, but it feels good to have a breather once in a while.

How can turn 10 honestly say they listen to the community when half of these cars are practically unheard of… Who has ever once said ‘oh I think I’ll take the Subaru Brat for a spin today’ no just no. They say the XR2 was highly asked for yet I’ve seen more people request the BMW I8 yet no where to be seen. Yes I can understand about vehicle licences but there’s no excuses for shoddy work. There’s too many cars I can list that I and many others would like to see. Seriously Turn 10 you should hire me.

On the other hand I am pleased with previous cars such as the M4 and the F Type you really made a lot of people happy with those and I can see a lot of people being unhappy with this pack.

I don’t think that will happen. Very few companies hire people who bad-mouth them. Good luck trying though!

So many cars in this game drive identically that I can’t get worked up at all about car count, selection or car packs. I would really like to have this G-shock car just because I think it’s super cool. But will buy the car pack to have it? Prob not. I’ll drive the 71 GT-R instead. Close enough for me.

I really dont mind some of the cars except for the Raptor and the Ferrari both are pretty pointless if you ask me.

that said this is not a good pack considering how many big time cars we havent gotten yet like the Hellcat or the i8. I love the game but im gonna be pretty saddened if we dont get the Hellcat or atleast the new NSX

The more I look at that Nissan the more I’m like “wow, does that look GOOD!”

Seriously it’s one of the best looking Nissans I’ve seen in long time + 1 I may actually drive offen too.

Wow… Like seriously, who greenlit the Shelby Raptor. You minds well give us a 335ci or a A4 while your at it.

I dont care about what kind of car we get with each pack,i’m only interested in the handling/speed balance.
Looking forward to try the Brat, the Mondial and the Nismo!

  • 2012 Spyker C8 Aileron

T10 is this hard to add in the game?? S*** DLC!!!

The only car that is fun with your wish dlc is the roadrunner the rest is just pure garbage

Don’t like it don’t tell!!! Ford Bronco and Shelby Raptor that’s rubbish!

I’ve already downloaded the “pack” thanks to forza hub, but no mazda on the store or client update, both of which I assume will drop in 1 hour from now, give or take.

This pack actually is one of the better ones for me.

First pack was OK, I only really like the VW and the Maserati. The F-Type is nice looking at the front, the rear is ugly and I don’t really like driving it. The M5 is OK, I have nothing against it but I don’t love it either. The Jeep is just another SUV and the Clio is OK.

Pack two OK again. The 4C is fantastic, the 2000GT is pretty nice as are the Legacy and the Jalpa. The Chevy is a car I have completely ignored in-game as I have no interest in it and I really dislike the M4.

Pack three was pretty bad. Audi is just another powerful German saloon, Buick is just another muscle car, Range Rover is just another SUV and the Chevy thingy is really meh. The 650S is pretty much a slightly quicker facelifted MP4-12C, which is a car I don’t particularly like. The Esprit is really nice though.

Storm Island’s cars were pretty good. The Stadium Truck is a car I’ve never touched since the Gauntlet event which made me loathe it, the two raid cars are OK, the Galant is also OK, the Fiesta is great fun and the Metro… My god I love that car.

And now there’s this pack. The Nissan looks brilliant, the Subaru looks nice and unique, the Bronco I’m not bothered about, the Ferrari is very nice looking, the Raptor is meh and the Mazda is OK.

So in my opinion it’s still as good if not better than the other packs. The one thing that is great about FH2 though is how many New to Forza cars T10 are bringing in. Even if they aren’t necessarily your cup of tea it’s still nice to know that T10 are trying to bring us new and unique cars that are (Mostly) well received.

@Static ^ Agreed, the description was this pack would blow our mind but so far its mainly…meh. I guess we cant complain they’ve recycled alot though so hmm

I guess its people outside of North America that are underwhelmed by this pack the most, the Bronco, BRAT and Raptor are little known or don’t have any appeal, even the Mazda isn’t as popular in Europe because there is a lot more choice in Hot Hatches (not a wagon!) and much better ones too based on reviews.

This is a pack for a minority of players. I’m sure only for five to ten percent this is an ok or even great car pack.
Cars like the AMG GT will obviously please 70-80 percent of the Forza heads.

The large number of rust buckets in this car pack is the reason why people like me freak out. I could get along with one bronco in an overall better car pack, but this combination is just messed up. And yeah I know, I don’t have to buy it, if I don’t like it, but I actually want to buy something which improves my FH2 experience. 200 cars aren’t enough for me and there are still lacking many cars everyone expects to be in a good racing game.

This pack is about poor quality offroaders and japanese mediocrity. Oh and one Ferrari to leave the impression this pack could be about racing. I just hope a pack like this will never occur a second time.
