OK am I just stupid… Whey are the headlights always on (up) or is there a way to turn them off?

I have the same question regarding the Porsche 928. It really destroys the hood view when driving that car.
ive just posted a similar thing about the M1 Procar and the Testarosa… It seems the lights are up on my car but flat on the AI cars…

I have a problem with the lights being on nearly 100% of the time in the day.
The 94 Mazda mx5 does this too

Have you guys tried driving on the Dubai track? that seems to be the only track where the lights are down for the rx7. Which isn’t really helpful as some configurations of the track has a really dark tunnel, but the lights still stay down/off! lol
Yes, the F40 annoys me because look better with pop ups lights down and also when you get inside a tunnel they are not working.
The point of pop up lights is that the car has a much better profile when they are not needed.
What we have is completely the wrong way around.
Not to mention that there was one track I ran that was technically day time, but there was so much cloud and it was so dark that I really would have loved my headlights on, but they did not turn on when I needed them?
So frustrating.
Ferrari 288 GTO does this as well.
I’m hoping Turn 10 still monitors this forum. There’s no longer a stickies wishlist up top, so I hope they see this and address it as well. It does ruin the look of many cars in the daytime when headlights aren’t needed. A simple auto on feature for every car would be great, and make them automatically kick on inside tunnels and off upon exit.
