Golf mk1 is pure German car, not british or japanese. In Europe, we have steering wheels at left side of the cars.

Its the same as any japanese car that is LHD, they can only model what they get their hands on.
I drive a RHD MX5 but can only get LHD in this game, its not a bug, it is just the model in the game. Also isn’t the Mk1 the American Rabbit version? It has the US crash bumpers on it.

In America, Rabbit have steering wheel on left side too

That just shows how lazy development is if they just model the cars based on what they just have. The GTI is not the most uncommon car in the world, so why? A lot of VWs are just wrong, MK2 and 3 have a lot of problems.
But i agree, that a LHD MK1 ist just stupid.
