Cars - Porsche 550A Spyder 1955 - Tuning and balance issues (1850682)

400/ 1100, mid/max or max/mid on ride high

10 / 10, 13 / 13

9.8 / 9.8, 24/ 150.0

38-30% brake biased

Something like this works on most cars but you will still have to play around with all the other settings to know if it will work right.

soft springs with stiff rebound/dump, allows u to run min ride height, w/o worry about curbs, u just hit them so hard that suspension goes trough limits, and then goes back to normal XD

this adjusted calc works well [i dont like meta arb/geometry so i run 0/0 0/-50 geo]

I’m wondering is this truly a glitch or just a better way to use tuning in forza?

If we think of think of anti squat as our ā€œslowā€ bump and rebound settings and damper settings as our ā€œfastā€ settings maybe this makes sense?

I’m trying this high bump high rebound and low anti squat front and rear on the #73 911 gt3 R and and I’m liking how it feels.

8.5 bump front and rear
13 rebound front and rear

-20 anti dive
-50 anti squat

springs at 570 front 600 rear

maxed roll center

maxed out roll center is kinda meh, its not always working

It’s not a better way of tuning, it glitches the actual physics. You can tell when it is doing it becuase vibration from tire slip is going crazy, yet the car continues to rotate instead of uindersteering or oversteering. When you bring up the friction telemetry, you are well over what you should be capable of and the tires never flash yellow. And on top of that, uf you change your FPS so it’s not locked at 60, it stops working.

For the love of god… it’s bump, not dump

I just did some laps around road america at 60 fps and at 72 fps and I see exactly what you mean.

I was doing 2:04’s at 60 fps and 2:06’s at 72 fps

soft tires, 100% rubbering and 4 laps of fuel in the tank for each test.

i always mistake it XD

What is a negative downforce car?

i mean cars with high lift like most of no aero old cars

^ = LIFT

Ok

In past iterations, they were able to remove specific cars, tunes, etc from LB’s while releasing patches, so I’m surprised there hasn’t been any rebalancing of specific cars (aka Porsche 550) in the near term while they investigate the tuning/physics bugs.

It’s unacceptable that Turn 10 has known about these tuning/physics issues and has done nothing in over a year, but instead focuses on other non-essential items.

Some update on the tuning/physics bugs would be appreciated but seems like it’s unlikely at this point.

You say broken physics for the Porsche and yet it was reported over a year ago and nothingā€˜s been done, no updates on progress, and that to me suggest that there is absolutely nothing wrong with the Porsche 550.

I’m not for one minute suggesting that the tunings are not bugged out.

P550
Merc 300sl and 300slr
Have physics bug
U put max rear camber,
max rear ride height,
Min rear spring rate
Min bump and max rebound on rear dampers
150anti dive
-50 antisquat

It will shoot rear suspension heigh over the limit and cars will gain ridiculous amount of acceleration and increased top speed
Tho it makes them uncontrollable, but u can counter this by increasing front camber, increasing rear downforce, and some other things.

Daytona TRI oval in low class, rivals record is done by bugged 300sl (I even tried it myself)

I wouldn’t take T10’s silence/inaction on the p550 issue as confirmation the car is working as intended. On the track, where the rubber meets the road I’d say, in the right hands, it’s a class above it PI rating. And obviously so.

And don’t think it’s that op, with non bugged suspension it’s on par with other b class meta cars, with bugged it might be 1s / lap faster, that’s all
The issue is with e-d class, because rarely any car have access to op engine like b class cars have, and p550 have one of the most op engines in game.

In c class u start seeing VTEC/1.3R and other cars more often

The 550s is the sole reason i no longer race in E and D classes, this bug/glitch (whatever you want to call it) has completely ruined those classes.

For me, the fact T10 has not even ackowledged there is an issue means they either don’t know how to fix it or it’s to much work and just can’t be bothered.

E, D and p, x class races are kind off extremes, in one e, d with race tyre meta, can be used only limited number of cars that have broken stock engines. While in p class u go broken F1 Ferrari, and in x class u got current meta car race (since it’s no limit race)

B and a class races have biggest variety of cars (tho most players just chose not too use anything else than meta…) while in s and r u start seeing broken can am cars, Renault F1, elemental, and similar.

I feel like the P550 glitch and this glitch are 2 separate things. I’ve only tested it on GT cars, but I am hearing from other players ithis glitch works on any car. Is the P550 glitch tied to framerate like this one? I’ve tested that specifically with this bump/suspension geometry glitch. It only works at 60 in my testing, but I’ve been told it also works in any multiple of 30. I know for a fact though that it does not work at 82.5, 72.5, or unlocked.
