It sounds like a turbo 4 cylinder. Not like a V8 at all. It’s a disgrace to the car and needs to be updated asap. The wheels are also not black from factory like they’re supposed to be and if you paint them, all the stickers get taken off.

just logged like in forever to say this as well, the Sauber C9 sounds absolutely nothing like the original thing, they nailed it on FM7, this car feels like it has a placeholder sound or something like that, you cannot even hear the massive turbos, let alone the MASSIVE V8, I really hope this is patched ASAP.

They have many, many placeholder sounds in the game with (again) copying pasting of samples happening across different models and manufacturers.
Every time I play the game and come acros one of these inaccurate or underwhelming samples, I ask myself “Why did I pay for the Premium edition?”

While playing I noticed two wrong car sounds.
KTM X-BOW GT2:
the engine sound sounds like an inline 4 cylinder, the correct sound would be inline 5 cylinder
Mercedes-benz #63 Sauber C9:
the correct sound would be that of a racing V8 (Mercedes AMG style for example), however the sound is not a racing V8, it’s really horrible

I was about to make my first ever topic on the forums here about this. I can live with most of the other car sounds I have experienced in FM8 (in fact, I rather like most of them), but the Sauber C9 sound just hurts me every time I hear it.

We are closing out this issue. The developers have noted this issue as Fixed as of Update 4.0 on 01.16.24
