Beyond excited to see the Lamborghini SC63 in the game! That said, I’ve identified a few issues with the paint mapping.
The shark fin is unpaintable
The carbon area behind the front wheel, where both the IMSA and WEC versions of the car feature number boards, is unpaintable. This makes replicating existing liveries impossible.
The rear wing endplates and main plane are unpaintable
An ongoing problem that is on so many race cars in the game.
With a handful of cars featuring multiple paint options on the body like we can do with the wheels can we have the carbon parts and the red under striping paintable?
The carbon areas including the wing need to be paintable both add colour and have decals added as mentioned in the above post. As it is the car is now impossible to paint for any realistic design or replica.
The red stripe on the side skirt and front splitter would be nice to have as an additional paint option for that extra colour like on the original. red, green, whatever. Just not blank.
And again… The window banner…
2 and 4 are essential areas that should be a priority to fix before retail. 5 and 6 are paintable on every other car in this class and should also be addressed (but recognize that we only want to touch the TOP surface here, not double or triple echos across the car unless they’re purposely offset using the coordinates system).
We can probably live without 1 and 3.
Again, like the perpetually unpaintable visors in this game, this aversion to letting players paint carbon fibre is a direction mistake at T10 that’s being made in contravention of realism and fun.
Arcturus hit the nail on the head here. Highlighted areas 2 and 4 being paintable surfaces is the bare minimum that even the most casual motorsport player would expect.
Making fun vs. realism decisions is always tough. Fortunately, fun and realism are on the same side here! This car is less realistic and less fun to use if the paint mapping is unrealistically restricted.
I’ve noticed that the air intake where the front wiper is on the SC63 is missing textured detail, went through some pictures of the Rolex 24 and it’s certainly got mesh around the area, but it’s missing on the car in the game.
And as many have said, the painting issue is really disappointing. Not being able to place stuff on the shark fin or where the numberboard should go really is annoying, and I hope this is changed asap.
Second this. Currently can’t add vinyls to where the “63” number board is on the unpainted car, and the shark fin being unpaintable (along with the rear of the car) should be fixed.
Now that I’ve had a chance to paint this car, one additional detail that would be appreciated is not having the red pinstripe (around the base of the car) disappear the moment you start customizing.
Forza Developers, please fix this issue because many of us have been waiting to obtain this car but are severely disappointed when we discovered that most of the car is unpaintable as well as unable to place in decals is certain areas where in real life decals would be placed. Please redo the paint options of this car like how it was done for the BMW M Hybrid V8 where despite some areas being Carbon Fiber were still paintable and can still allow decals over them. We would greatly appreciate it so we can properly create some awesome liveries with this amazing car.
It would fix a lot of my heartache if they would allow us to paint & put decals on carbon fibre. Also the bleed through of decals onto other panels is annoying as well. I really don’t like GT7 but they got this aspect of custom livery making right.
5 minutes in this forum will answer that question. They absolutely do not care. They haven’t fixed more than 5 cars since launch 16 months ago (and keep adding cars with bugs/issues every single month). All they do is import the FH5 models into FM without any QC/QA.
