Cars clocks showing real time (like Forza 7) or showing the game-world time

In the demo, the cars clocks are stuck.

In Forza Motorsport 7, the cars clocks show the real time.

I was then expecting the cars to show the real time (like what happens in Forza Motorsport 7) in FH4 final game (or even the “virtual” time of game world) but considering the demo has the clocks stuck, I think the final game will be like this.

It would be a nice touch to have, though.

inworld time i would say

Going with the in-game time would honestly be an awesome touch and a great way to coordinate things with other players.

I agree!

We can hope they add an option to this (how to display the clock), then each player could set it to his taste. But I think that’s too much to ask

Don’t get me wrong I like the real world clock but an in-game clock would be amazing. You’d finally be able to see when night is coming or ending and vice versa. Planning things would be so much easier.

I remember the Bentley Conti GT in Horizon 1 was one if not the only car in that game to show the in-game time. I remember when it got to 8 or 9pm the time would speed up until 6am, they must have made the night 3 or 4 times slower than it would have been if left a day speed.

it is pretty USELESS for cars to display Real World Time, “Horizon Life” Time would be miles better… i can just hit my guide button on controller to show me the actual time, so why would i need the cars to display the exact same thing… our mobile phones have “dual clock” functionality, so if the developers are so hell bent on leaving their cockpit clock as is, why not give us Horizon Life Clock on Menu (where the temperature & weather condition indicator is) :man_facepalming:t2:

A tiny thing, that I’d love to see is a real life mileage clock on the dashboard or even on the speedometer on the HUD.

The demand for it will probably be tiny but I recall older racing games like PGR2 had it.

No real time and either no game time…

Yeah this is something I felt could’ve been in FH4, but I understand why they took it out. The clock would turn too fast.

Real world time would be just fine.

There was no need to disable it.

Any argument about breaking immersion is countered by the fact that a clock that is stuck on 12:00 is immersion breaking anyway.

The clocks in FM show real world time even if you choose a race at night during the day or vice versa, so it doesn’t matter that it is not synced to game time.

Being able to track real world time while driving, without looking away from the screen or needing to pause (Xbox guide button is not available to everyone on PC anyway, especially if you use a steering wheel instead of controller) would be excellent quality of life and the code to do it from FM7 already exists.

…there are MANY MANY ways u can keep track of Real World Time, so i don’t see how this could be a thing… OR get yourself one of the “pretty” kids watches that u’r forza avatar can wear, & @ a quick glance u can see the time… There is NO WAY to track In-Game time though, we have to keep our eye on the sky for that (as if we are neanderthals) :man_facepalming:t2:
