Cars - BMW 850CSi "fix" messed up the existing liveries for that car

Thanks a lot for messing up the existing liveries for that car with you’re fix for the wrong mapping of the bodykit.

FYI the complete vinyls on the right side and the front of the car got moved down while the ones in the back got moved up.

Before…

…and after.

This is at least the third time one of your “fixes” messed up existing liveries. An other one was with the “new paintable parts” of the 2018 Porsche 911 GT2 RS and the other was related to the addition of a new bodykit for the 1997 BMW M3. I’m sure there actually was more but I currently can’t remember which cars were concerned.

The fix the painters have to do in this case seems relatively easy but the problem is that we’ll lose any downloads and with that the “ranking” of the livery in the Creative Hub if we reupload it. This is simply “you know what” and I’m sick and tired of constantly having to work around the half baked mapping of cars and fixing the mess you leave behind when you touch (fix is the wrong word here) anything after a release.

@T10ManteoMax Please forward this to the respective developers and send them a big thanks from me and the other painters. I’m not going to list this in the trouble hub because the risk you mess it up even more is quite high. I’ll instead will fix this now and clean up your mess. Even if that means I’m going to lose all the related downloads and the ranking.

/edit: Oh, and before I forget it. Reuploading a reworked livery generates a new share code. Which means all mentions in the forum and on social media will “link” to the wrong or not existing livery. Well done! :face_vomiting:

/edit2: Just noticed that the vinyls on the left side are move backwards. Same seems to be the case for the Racing Dynamics rear spoiler.

FYI I did post this in FH5 Discussions but Max moved it here. Besides that I’ve flagged your post for inappropriate content.

Do me favor and just stay away from anything I post, thanks.

I’ve taken a closer look at the “fix” now.

Here’s a comparison between the standard version and the one with the bodykit with some simple vinyl stripes applied.

Let’s forget the misalignment we can see in the second screenshot. The thing I’m puzzled about is why the carbon trim line of the rear fender, the carbon parts around the side, front and rear windows and the carbon lines on the roof are paintable with the bodykit while the same plastic parts on the standard version aren’t? This doesn’t makes any sense.

Besides that why are the parts even carbon with the bodykit? Couldn’t you at least have switched out all of them?

Nobody at T10 or PGG cares about liveries yet they use the “pro” artists designs for advertising and brand collaborations when it suits.

everything you said is true and beggars belief how nobody their tests anything they do.

How many years has this junk designer system been in? Still can’t zoom on the artboard or zoom closely enough on certain cars and you can’t even search or organize your own liveries or vinyls.

But if someone wants to make a new event they do a whole mini DLC and throw hundreds of hours worth of designs of props and effects so players create more content for them.

liveries do not matter, unfortunately.
