Ability to move weight distribution from front to rear. Which can be done easily in real life
Ballast should be able to be put to the front or to the back. Not just to 50/50 weight ratio!

It made in! However, any way to change the position of the ballast between front and rear to balance out the car? Or is it like the wide body kits with offset or track width adjustments?

As soon as you upgrade the car with extra ballast, it should be possible to change the distribution of the weight.
e.g:
- when upgrading the “extra light ballast”, the car gets about 33kg heavier and the distribution shifts either to the front or rear depending on wether the car has more weight in the front or rear.
Instead of that:
- after the upgrade, the car should unlock a setting in the fine tuning menu where you can then shift the cars’ weight manually either 33kg to the front, rear or middle, which then changes the weight distribution to either the front, rear or just makes the car heavier in general.
- the more extra ballast you put into the car the more you can manually shift the weight.
Why is this so important?
If players want to lower the PI level of a car this is easily done with “extra ballast”.
e.g:
The Pagani Huayra BC has more weight in the rear which gives the rear tires more mechanical grip.
If you want a little bit more power and high speed for the straights, e.g mulsanne straight, at the expense of cornering, even though you are already at the top PI of R900, you can add extra ballast and afterwards add better engine parts.
→ Now you not only have a more powerful car, but also a car with shifted distribution towards the front, which means the handling in the corners changed a lot.
… In this situation it would be immensely helpful to just have a slider in the fine tuning menu with which we can shift the distribution towards the rear so that the car has a equal ratio as before and therefore also a similar cornering behavior.
PS.: I’m aware that there are similar suggestions already for FH5 and arguably FM, but none of which I have found brought it straight to the point. I hope this post sums it up and makes this concept clear and easy to understand. Thank you.
I found a car w/ a 60/40 weight distribution and I love it. Would love to have the option to chose my cars weight ratios.
I do believe that adding ballast to the car will move the weight distribution closer to 50/50.
I like 50/50 best on RWD but a 60/40 on an FWD is the best for me
The ability to choose the ballast weight and location would be cool. GT7 has this, in case you want to aim for a specific distribution versus targeting 50/50 specifically.

I support this - we should have the possibility to choose position of ballast - like in GT7 (Slider 0-50 Front to Rear). No all cars benefit from 50/50 weight distribution. Additionally, this would help fixing incorrect curb weight in some cars (like Chevelle SS 454 - which is 200kg lighter than IRL, and has incorrect weight distribution).
