Car upgrades not working due to homologation restrictions

Upgraded parts and components on a car, only to be told that it’s not homologated for the race, what is the point in spending money to upgrade a car of you are unable to use the parts, is this how it is meant to be or a error?

Sadly, I don’t think it’s an error. It’s just the new homologation system which I’m really not a fan of. The previous class system worked great.

I don’t know either that is why I am asking, I don’t see the point of car upgrades/components is installing them make them ineligible for races.

It just doesn’t make any sense.

Came here to complain about this. Modifying cars has always been my favorite part of Forza and with the new homologation system it has made that useless. I’m willing to overlook the VIP disaster but this really ruins the game for me. I think the tire and hp regulations are great, but you can’t tie class rankings into that as well. This really needs to be changed or I, like many others will be done buying Forza games.

Same boat. This new homologation system sucks so far. I can still create an “exact” version of my own car in game but it seems like it will be useless in career mode! Modifying and painting cars has always been a favorite for me too.

I haven’t tried Multiplayer yet because the game is unplayble for me at the moment, but I’ve read in a different thread here that it’s pretty difficult to set up custom races, add AI, etc. based on car class.
