Car selection takes too many clicks - get in and stay in car

Is it just me or do you guys also hate having to select your car every time you want to race/upgrade/paint it? It’s not so bad when you have 20 cars in the garage but once I get to a couple hundred cars it’ll be a nightmare having to scroll all the way to my desired car just to change the wheels, or livery etc. why can’t we have it hold on to that car like in previous games.

I can go to My Cars, select my car, go do a free race, come back to the main menu and the Cadillac is showing. I can ‘view car’ (ForzaVista?) and it will show me the Cadillac. I then go into upgrades, or free race, and I have to choose my car again.

This can’t be right - imagine when you have 300 cars having to go find your car again every time you want to continue doing stuff with said car.

This has been winding me up. It’s so poorly designed.

Yes!!!

Thank you, was about to suggest this. Actually can put up with most of the niggles as I am really enjoying the game. Having to constantly re-select the car is wearing very thin.

Please, please, pretty please … let us stay in the car we are in. Such a simple thing would made a big difference.

Exactly! What is the point of the “Car Bay”? It’s buried deep in the My Cars menu. This should be at the top of the menu chain so that we users can easily choose from the cars we use frequently.

Add ability to choose default car in garage which always appears at start of garage. This feature exists in FH5 but not FM. In FM we need to scroll through all cars in garage each time which gets tedious when you are tuning, painting, racing same car.

I agree that it would be much easier and more useful if the game would just always remember / keep my latest car choice - no matter if I exit the race / upgrades / paint booth / etc. or even if I restart or turn off the console. Most of the time I use the same car anyway after starting the console again. Usually I go back to same races or continue upgrading / tuning the same car.

Many times I upgrade a car between multiplayer races and there’s very limited time for this, only few minutes. Searching the car I just used isn’t really something I would have time for when I should be quickly preparing for the next race.

I visually really like the car bay but it would be far more useful if the game would remember my previous 3 (or more) car choices and show them there in the background and I could just select them from the car bay home screen without going to any menus.

Yess, it takes too long and its such a slow process.

The menu is a confusing patience test. Worst I`ve ever seen in any game. After buying a car, painting, upgrading and racing it I decide to end the session and leave the racemenu. But where is my car now?

Our garage is wery poorly orgaized so we have to search through about the entire garage to find the car we are working on.

The absolute lack of any logic and shortcuts makes this into a confusing patience test.

My garage is just a blurred grey screen that uses up 100% of my GPU to render nothing visible at all.

We also need the favorite option again. Make a car your favorite and search for these cars. 5 spots for all of your cars is just stupid.

Browsing trough owned cars is total nightmare, every time i want to find car i want to use in race i got lost, cuz all cars looks the same, sometimes even paintjob is not loaded properly and i looks for car miniature that dont even exist. I usually drive 1 car over and over again till i level it up to 50, and every time i have to find it suffed somewhere between other cars from same class, it take ages. PLS add favorite option, or atleast option that will show last used car like in horizon.

If i open up the car selection menu of my own cars, or if i choose upgrade & tuning, change design etc. i want that the menu auto navigates to the last used car.

So if i just drove a race with my 2003 Volkswagen Golf R32, press Cars/Upgrade & Tuning i want that the cursor AUTOMATICLY selects my 2003 Volkswagen Golf R32. Just to pick an example.

Getting rid of the “Currently selected car” is surely one of the most annoying “minor” inconveniences in this game. Terrible design.

Please change it so Im not asked to choose a car every time I do anything. If you go to paint, youre forced to choose a car, If you start a private race, youre forced to choose a car, if you go to upgrades youre forced to choose a car. Its very annoying, if Im doing any of these things its more than likely because I plan to use the car Im in. Make an option from that point to choose a different car, dont force us to choose at every point.

There is no “Currently driven car” in FM, only cars on Display. Nonsensical and irritating.

I agree. Once you have chosen the car then allow the car to remain chosen. Similar to FH5 where you have a current car.

Havn’t played for months now hoping forza would have got their act together and fixed some of the issues that drove me away from the game.
But no, Forza no best.
To me this is the most basic of all racing game must.
This is to do with all cars

There is no default car in the game.
Say you buy a Volvo
You want to update the colour you have to search through all your cars to find the volvo
Say you want to upgrade the engine you have to hunt through all the cars again to find the volvo.
This is the only racing games in the world that you have to do this.
Please please fix this issue
When i buy a car I want that car to be the default car
I don’t understand why the makers of the game thought this would be a good idea.
Its rubbish and pisses me off

when choosing the car to upgrade i find it weird and annoying that you have to choose the vehicle twice you don’t have to do that in the prior games

+1
Just like in Forza Horizon 5, where a single keystroke brings up a complete table of manufacturers in full screen, allowing you to choose the manufacturer of your choice, then go inside and select the car.
This is much faster than having to scroll through the entire list, as is currently the case.
More generally, I find that tables are easier for quick selection than scrolling through a list.
