Car customization

Dodge Charger has rear wheel spacers in the demo. No other cars as far as I know.

Stumbled across a video of a FH4 livestream, that JacksUltraMotive did, where he was customizing an R32 GT-R, which breifly showed a new (New to Horizon) Nissan “Sport” front bumper (besides the Forza splitter, only other front bumper option) and a new (New to Horizon) rear bumper (only rear bumper option)The front and rear bumper, both look identical to pieces made by Japanese aero and tuning company, Do Luck. (I believe this particular front and rear bumper were last seen in FM4) Additionally, I spotted new (New to Horizon) Nissan “Street” side skirts, (only side skirt option in-game, identical to the side skirts found on the Nismo version of the R32 GT-R,) and new (New to Horzizon) Nissan “Sport” rear wing option (which removes the main/upper wing element and leaves just the N1 lip, Rocket Bunny and Forza rear wings are both available as well).

The Pandem Nissan R32 kit is missing the rear bumper skirts. Once I get my hands on the game I’ll try to put some screenshots and check if other customization issues have been fixed and hopefully this is the Forza where we can get these things patched.

You’re 100% right, it definitely is missing the rear fender extensions (that’s what Pandem calls those pieces that go on the rear bumper. I personally actually like the way the in-game kit looks without them, but at the same time, it’s something that should be fixed in the game.

I guess if you want to be super technical, in real life, you can order the Pandem aero parts A La Carte, so one can purchase every other part of the widebody kit, except those rear gender pieces. It might be worth nothing, that there’s a white Pandem R32 GT-R, which wears everything in the kit except the part in question.

You’re the only person that I’ve come across, (counting this forum and YouTube) who has noticed this issue… So, I kind of doubt that they’ll fix this, unless a significant number of players bring it to the attention of the developers.

So, I got the 458 today and went to modify it and noticed that it had no body kit option, which is kinda weird since it was in horizon 3 and motorsport 7, and past body kits have made it into this game.

Liberty walk 458
Did they remove it from the game?

sadly yeah and i have no clue why lol

I’ve been thinking since many vehicles have been getting amazing bodykits and wide-body upgrades, that trucks should have a little more love than they already do, I know that a majority will disagree but The Pickups in the game should have a PreRunner body kits other than lights and a spare tire racks, im talking huge suspension lifts for more travel and flared/pulled fender for large tires and even the option to put larger profile tires on them. Its a great idea but I don’t know what others would think about it or what the pros/cons would be of implementing this in this game or a future one would do. But I figured id put this out there and see what feedback I would get on this topic.

Anyone else find it kinda ridiculous how there hasn’t been any new non widebody aero options in like 5 or 6 years? Half of the options currently in the game look atrocious to begin with and some cars only have one or no options. I know not everyone cars about the mostly Japanese cars that this applies to but I just find it kinda frustrating.

Its strange that there is still no flachschnauze update for old porsches. Also will the Golf3 ever get some tuning parts

I do not know, if the NSX had a bodykit in the past Horizon Series, but it would be definately cool, to have that amazing Rocket Bunny Kit, or at least close to it, like in Payback.

Also the Error customization of the CRX: https://forums.forza.net/turn10_postsm972884_Honda-CRX-looks-so-wired-without-the-Sideskirts--Where-are-those.aspx#post_972884

I agree on the rocket bunny nsx. That would be awesome. I think they should include every kit that’s available from rb or lw if the cars in the game (and the manufacturer allows it) or like in my post above include the forza widebodies from fm7 which the nsx had an amazing one.

Also the civic isn’t an error. It’s been like that all the way back to at least forza 4

Why didn’t they include any of the wide bodies from fm7? There where some cool ones that would’ve beefed up the customization options.
Like the 97 civic, mustang gt350r, Camarillo zl1, Acura nsx, Mazda Miata, gran turismo, 16 civic type r, Cadillac ATS-v.

They should definitely add at least some of these.

Ill be the one to beat the dead horse…

How are we still not to the point to where exhaust mods change appearance or sound?!

Because it was in FM2 where they did have the Race exhaust upgrade make the car sound different, and it was horrible. Race exhaust, either in an upgrade or swap to a racing engine, added this loud hissing noise to the engine note. It sounded like someone strung an air hose through the exhaust pipe and opened the nozzle every time you hit the accelerator.

THANK YOU!!!
Someone else said it too.
I’ve been requesting this since fm2.
This is surely something that definitely should be in the game. Even gta5 has this and it’s not even a car game let alone a brand (Forza) that got were it is for its visual upgrades and doesn’t seem to have improved on it much. Please just give us this.

Why was 458 widebody removed from game? Car still in game…
This doesn’t make sense especially given that Horizon 4 has vastly more widebody kits than the previous game.

Horizon 3 Ferrari 458 had widebody option

The same exact car is still in Horizon 4 yet it has no widebody option

Explain?

[Mod Edit - thread merged - MM]

They’ve been doing this with every game that they make.

The only thing I can think of is every so often they need to remake cars when polishing older cars ( ported from older games) is no longer going to be enough for the newest game but instead of doing all the bodykits aswell they leave a few cars out hoping we won’t notice to save time and effort. Quite a few cars over the years have gone from having loads of bodykit options to being shafted with Forza lip and spoiler only.

Shame to because the car you mention is by far the best looking wide bodykitted car there is ( from the 2 in the game)

Something that worries me despite the wonderful implementation of widebody kits is the lack of variety. It’s basically just Rocket Bunny and 1-2 other companies. But other than designs and paints and cute little “wing” options…customization still feels kind of hollow and more like a gimmick. We need headlight/tailight customization, neon kits, headlight covers, the option to change the color of the headlamps, wheel well lighting, larger range of rims, interior mods, etc…

Also something lacking is in-car features. some come standard with ambient lighting, some older ones don’t even have traction control or stability control. What about interior colors and exhaust tips? for 2018-19… a lot is lacking. I understand for deadlines and technical limitations, not all of this will be possible at once…but still. I want depth, much like GTAV has added depth to their Benny’s shop customization options. I don’t want to pay $60 for the same cars that are copy pasted from the last game ported into the new one with the same exact options. some cars are in older games and sold as dlc in the new…absurd. Hell you can clearly see which cars were rebuilt for horizon 4, and which ones were just ported from horizon 3, or even 2…just look at some of the finer texture details and reflective surfaces…some cars (typically older models) look very polished and robust, and some look just okay…

Need for speed underground had a lot more visual customization. Would be neat to roll around in a car that almost doesn’t look like itself and is rather unique. Too bad.
